Yea but I've already basicly said why I left.

Sounds like me D1-2c. Came off my first hometime, got a load and truck breaks down 2 days later. Was In the shop for 4 days, 4 days I sat in a hotel. Then it wasn't fully fixed so had to go through tulsa to get the rest and spent about a day and a half there.
Flatbedn on to better! I just hope I don't have to face the same as you I can still say I'm being treated alright and like my dm. Good luck though, being home every weekend is something I wouldn't mind.
Triletter I probably saw you today. I' was heading towards Effingham, I'm in Indiana now deliver tomorrow morning about 60 miles from Indianapolis.
I usually wave to anyone I pass by. Most of them wave back. I had nothing but a big pole base on me. Headed to a wind farm.Last edited: Jun 17, 2014

I haven't picked up and delivered a load in the same day for a long time. Now I remember how much fun it is! At the J outside Omaha now. Maybe the DM will let me sleep in.
Do you guys get 34's often? I can't remember the last 34 I got other than home time. Seems like I work all day every day. -
3hrs later I'm still at Republic paper. Just talked to the prime driver in front of me by 2 trucks and he been here since 8. So I know I'm not getting out of here. Be sure to pack a lunch if u guys have to come to this place.

Spent the night at the Flying J in Texarkana and delivering midmorning. Figure I will pick up down in Houston, but you never know.
Mrh2008, 34's are really hit and miss in my experience. I have gone weeks without one and then get two of them in a row. Just depends on the load distance and the weekend. I have screwed up twice and been forced to take a 34, but it isn't the norm. -
I usually get my 34s on a weekend run. If I get a load that is right around a 1000 miles I can normally squeeze one in. I try to get as close to the con as I can by Saturday evening then deliver Monday am. Doesn't always work out for me but more often than not it does. Still Melton seems to hate the idea of a 34. Unless you are almost completely out of hours.

At Dwight, IL loves. Seems I just got here in time and found one spot left.
Delivered this morning and picked up 2 coils in Gary, IN. US Steel. Spent a whole week and a half there when I was training taking coils up to Wisconsin then going back and getting them again. So I was familiar. Had a feeling I'd go there today.
I usually don't get 34s. However since coming off hometime I've been getting them almost every weekend. Get a new load Fridays, drive all day and Saturday and by the time Monday comes I'm good to go. Just got one this past weekend when I went to OKC. At least I was close enough to enjoy myself. Walked to the movie theatre and just walked around the area. -
To the driver in truck 8?90 heading to Nebraska out of KCMO yesterday 1030hrs, I just want to say that your equipment, tarps etc were all high and tight and it appeared that you truly cared about what you were doing. Good job driver!
Mrh2008 Thanks this.
