Sitting at Americold in leesport PA .
and wondering to myself why I came back to work today. ? Lol
I get here and someone dropped the ball and never actually made a appointment . WTH?


Oh well had a Awsome 4 days at home with the wife and kids , but for some reason every time I go home all I do is spend money . Lol. I told her this has to stop !!! Hahaha

 

That was close. I was offered a load out of that Leesport freezer and turned it down. DH miles were a little steep and the ex$pensive ride on the turnpike was the deal breaker. Going to Strasburg VA instead. About the same money for 200 fewer miles on free as in freeway routes. Just waiting on the confirmation before I give up my space at the Wheeling Hilton.

 

Welp appointment was never set .
layover pay it is I guess till the a.m.

Very , very unproductive day for my first day back. Lol
oh well I didnt really feel like driving today anyway....

 

Carlisle PA Flying zoo. Techically the truck is only sitting 62 miles from where it started this morning but got a productive 655 miles in. Delivered in Groveport OH, then picked up 4 miles away. D&H on both ends. Gotta be in Cranbury NJ for a live unload at 10:15.

 

Well change of plan. Making a two pick upper, made the North Carolina half already (4 and a half hours for a partial?). Second is in Macon, GA at noon tomorrow. Given I had been up until three and had an hour left on my 14, I pulled into the Loves in Fair Play, SC, grabbed a much needed shower and dinner. 3 hours from Macon so I'm alright. Load goes to El Paso. Be roughly 3400 miles for the week. Not too bad.

 

We are still parked in the driveway... Truck is naked and we are waiting on the new vinyl... Trailer is ready and waiting... This waiting is frustrating! Sigh...

 

Parked @ GSF in Conyers, GA Guess they won't be unloading me until the morning. Carpet load doesn't pick up till 1500 so I"m gravy. Man it's hot/humid. Guess I'll have to use this dang APU for a little while. I just don't like going to bed with motors of any kind running. Get it cool enough then turn on the turbo fan. We back quiet.

 

My Strasburg load came thru, so picked that up and got a few miles down the road to White's Petro and their generous parking. Two baths and cooked meals in a row now, I'm getting spoiled. I also get to linger here a couple hours beyond my 10 so I won't be too early to my delivery, with a bonus of missing Charlotte and Greenville/Spartanburg rush hours. I love it when a plan comes together.

 

Get here to Dalton, and they say they changed the destination from Denver to Salt lake. So Cha ching!! More miles but will probably end up using all the rest of my hours, and I might have to be in the 7mpg club instead of the 8 for this trip. Nap time till they come a knocking. Then we West bound and down 1 more gin. Yeeeeeeeee hawwww.

 

Well I was gonna park at Flying J off 81 in VA , exit 323 I think . However it was not looking good in there.
so I outed for the rest area 4 miles down the highway. Lol

Got to drop this off in the a.m. and already have 2 loads for after that .. things are looking up here !!!!
Lets just hope it stays that way..

Guess I am gonna have to kiss some ### , I need to get home second weekend in july , because I am basically planning a 40th birthday party for my wife while I am out on the road. Lmfao. I dont know how thats gonna work but oh well i'll give it a shot. Better not tell my little rugrat , I know how he is with secrets . Lol
