I was in Laredo Sunday and Monday, then Tuesday and Wednesday up near San Antonio then Shreveport and now Atlanta til Monday probably. That's about all the heat and humidity this fat guy can take. Someone posted an articulated Dump going to the yukon for end of next week that seemed far enough north to cool off.

First day is in at Dawes Specialized Transport. The truck is nice. A long hood Pete with 63" stand up, Tripac, 600 Cat with an 18 spd. It has 578,000 on the clock and pretty dirty on the inside, but it seems to drive down the road. It was a wet kit on it, but all the hyd tanks are on the trailers, just the pump is on the truck. I didn't think to take a picture of it, but I will tomorrow.

Boondocks IA for the night. Head home and load up for IA for Sunday night. Go to the shop after that and wire up my dump valve. Sure miss it when you don't have it.

I am at the Super 8 in Conrad Montana, truck is over in the shop getting the junked out 13 speed swapped in favor of a 18 speed.

He stated Conrad, Mt.. I'm thinking the 18 might run close to 8k plus labor.. Hopefully I'm high on that

Virginia, Minnesota up in the Iron Range!! It's a sweltering hot 59* up here. Tomorrow I'll be headed to Duluth to pick up a load for the Coast Guard.

Well, the motel is in Conrad sure enough.....didn't say if the shop was also there though.

By the time it is in the truck with the flywheel turned, new u joints, new clutch, rear main seal, new yoke, shifter boot, synthetic oil and a new shifter, right at about 10K because I am getting hammered on the core charge.
It's going to be well worth it in the end though.
