I've never had an mt going that far. 450 miles is the tops, I think.

I wonder what the O/O L/O people would think if there were not decent loads a lot closer.
Because I don't think Swift would send you that far for a load if it were not really necessary.
They lose that fuel and time money, too.

I've done some trailer moves, but never that far.

As a company driver it must have been nice to haul mt that far.
It would be great for the monthly fuel mileage.
Not to mention being able to pass everyone on the hills.

Miller-Coors is the most likely load from Denver.
Just make sure you have a very good and clean mt. They are one of the most pickiest.

I know, I've been there several times. RMMC is always a nice, easy run when I can get them.

Why don't they send those drivers there fr8monkey? Lol,glad u asked! It's downtown Denver with one way busy streets on both sides of there property, rail lines that are busy and active ON THEIR YARD! Triangle shaped lot and tiny and packed with double and triple stacked rows of trailers....when u hook to your load your cab is IN THE STREET of a busy one way street.....no place to wait for your load if it's not ready....your job is to simply get the f out of there way,lol.....and not hold up there work...they are all cool about it but u better listen to boss mans instructions and do it as safely but quickly as possible....then u get to pull ur load out on to the busy street to do your loaded call,hehe.....

think the longest DH I have done was from Sparks, NV up to Oregon and from Denver to Texas a year ago. Longest bobtail would probably be from Phoenix to Fontana to Otay Mesa stopping in Fontana just because I was asked a "favor" to give a driver a ride.

Today was one of those fun days, I get to my first store and there is no trailer in the dock so I called up the Dm and she told me someone was bringing one shortly....ok...dropped the load and did mt call then called again asking how long it was going to take, she called me back a few minutes later saying there is supposed to be a sweep, ummm no trailer....anyway after sitting there for 25min she tells me to bobtail back. Come to find out someone delivered a load to the store I was delivering to which was supposed to go to another Fresno store last night so they had to send someone to go fix it this morning so whoever it was is in trouble right now.

2nd load changed on me 3 times, first was supposed to be a Valencia and Long beach then was called asking if I could do Lathrop instead so I said sure, beats the 405 for dang sure. Then it got changed to Modesto...ok still going north and should be easy...nope a little before Tulare there was a big accident which shut down the 99 from the Loves exit all the way back to the 190 which became a fun detour around a farm road, 3 hours later I was past the accident and rolling again. I ended up shutting down at the rest area in Turlok with 16min left on my 14. Didnt look it up but the CB was saying it was a truck overturned laying across the 99.

At the Red Roof Inn east in El Paso.

T-called a load here around noon after an all - night drive from Dallas. I was supposed to pick up a load from the terminal headed for Socal but refused to take it. 19,000 + KG (over 42,000 lbs) of alfalfa hay with of course no scale ticket and NO BOL! NO WAY will that thing EVERY be California legal. I pity the poor schmuck who takes that POS.

Check out time is 11:00 am tomorrow morning. If I don't have something headed west by 11:01 I'm bobtailing home.

No rants about "keyboard pounding monkeys" this time. I've come to expect to this kind of CRAP from El Paso, ESPECIALLY on the weekend.
