Does prime really pay you while you train for your cdl?

Yes. Last time I looked, it was $600/week.

All of the information is at www.primeinc.com

They get it all back when they lease you a truck.

No they do not pay you, to get your cdl... They loan you 200 a week until you get your cdl, which will normally take four weeks.

Bingo, YAHTZEE! Then you get to pay it back which gets taken out of your check/settlement. They are quick to try and force you to sign a lease. Something I don't recommend even if you are highly business savvy.

Read this it will answer most of your questions...

    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...27-new-prime-inc-what-expect-springfield.html

While you are a PSD student driver on a CDL permit, you aren't a Prime employee. Your meals and room and board will be covered by Prime, and while you are on the road getting the 100+ hours of experience you'll need to do your practical test, Prime will loan you $200 per week to cover your expenses. It's up to you whether you take it or not. That will be paid back at $25 per week after you get your CDL and are employed.

During TnT training, you will be paid $600 per week or 12-cpm (whichever is greater) before taxes while you are on the truck as an employee. If you take home time, the wheels aren't turning so you don't get a paycheck for that time. No one pushes leases at Prime, and your assignment to a truck does not depend on you signing your life away. I spent three years on the company side, and only heard the word "lease" once during orientation when they mentioned that there was such a program.

Make sure you check out the threads over in the Prime forum, and if you have questions ask them there.

ayou could not be more wrong than you are. Prime does not force anyone into a lease at all, they mention it is an option when you are hired and that is it. In my year and a half with Prime going lease was never brought up by anyone in the office.

Skunk knows all of that... he decided to quit Prime because he couldn't put a muzzle on his right foot.

...or did it get to the point of termination??
