U could be like me stuck.....

QUOTE=Triletter;4085267]Sitting at the Wally World in Barbousville, WV. Deliver in the morning about 2.5 hrs away in Marietta, OH. Got a pre-plan to go to Cinci area for a noon pick up heading to Sidney, NE. Hope the off load goes quick since shipper is about 4 hrs away. Going to be running recap so the Mon delivery ain't happening. DM said not to worry that it is open ended and she will schedule it based on my rolling macro. That's the plan unless the trucking gods decided to muck it up. :biggrin_25526:[/QUOTE]

It always seems to work out. Even when I get stuck with a load, I get a reset and usually get to run pretty hard. When the wheels seem to be coming off, I always wonder if someone is just testing me to see how I handle it. They say the first year with a company is always the most difficult.

Sitting at loves in West Memphis for the night. Got a load from Fort Smith, AR to Sanford NC. Supposed to deliver Sunday night. We'll I woke up this afternoon and already have a Preplan for Monday. Going from NC to Minneapolis. Not bad. I was a little surprised because I've never received a Preplan this far ahead. I'll be running recap all week once Monday hits.

Flatbedn, niiicccee! Run hard during the week and be home with the family on the weekends. Congrats.Bnrobot, I think it is a weekend thing for the early pre-plans. Keep an eye on the weather up in that region.

It's not a bad gig at all. I'll keep in touch with all you guys and still do dinner if we cross.

Sounds good flatbedn, looks nice. Can't wait to keep up the experience and get a gig like that. Biggest gripe I have is the hometime. Seeing my daughter every weekend would be great.
Another one I have is this 10 hour break thing. It would be easy to get used to if I was always on the same schedule. Having different pickup times and driving in the day and then driving at night is throwing me off.

I think I might have had 2 ten hour breaks with Melton. Most the time I would be almost out of hours, go sit and wait to load off duty then when the break was up they sent a message saying "Why are you not rolling sir?".

Most times I would only get 2-3 hours of sleep. God I'm glad that is over. LOL
