I came off of home time Thursday and picked up at load at California Steel. 2 coils at 47000 lbs. And headed for Brighton CO. Had 4 days to drive a 1000 miles. So a pretty chill drive up and over the Rockies. Now sitting out side of the shipper. And there's a Walmart less that 200 yards away so all is good. Except maybe the 4 days and 1000 miles.

I just passed my one year mark and as soon as I hit 43 cents a mile it seems like my miles are going down. Don't know why. I was averaging 2800 miles a week all year. Even during winter they had me running. Now I am at about 2200 miles. Never been late. Been making top 100 have hit my fuel.bonus every month except in February. ( I was in ice and snow all month).

Just got the increase (they gave me credit for previous experience). Been in the top 100 and getting fuel bonus and I have a rough estimate of about 2500-2800 miles a week. Hope that it isn't a trend for the miles to go down. It would seem to be difficult to track who was making what and how many miles. I know that Bob addressed this in one of his videos saying it was just the luck of the draw. Maybe they are giving you a chance to catch your breath and settle in to nice and steady. I'm fighting my 70 on recap and could do without that.

Spending the night at the Brooklyn, IA Pilot. Have a whole 3 hrs on my 70 for tomorrow and then the 8+ I get back at midnight will get me to the con with 1 hr remaining. A Sapp Brothers is just 10 miles away, but I really don't like cutting it that close. Then a couple of bigger days, but it sort of hurts the productivity. 'Tis what it 'tis.

I hope that's the case. We'll see how things play out. I'm.still happy here though. On one note my dad had to go to the hospital and my dm and csr did an out standing job and got a load approved early that took me directly home. That was just awesome of them....dads ok

Wyndup, glad to hear your dad is OK. I have nothing to say, but good things about this company. They take care of their people, from what I can see. Like any job, there a good days and others, but in the long run there are way more goods than others. In my experience, if you do your job without too many problems or complaints they reciprocate. Can't ask for much more than that in life.

Well I delivered 4 hours early. Called when I woke up and they said 'Yea we will take you if you're early!' after I called I looked at the directions and it says at the very bottom 'do not attempt to deliver early!!' I don't know why it says that, they were more than happy to take me when I arrived. Workers weren't doing much on a Sunday...

Since I got my Preplan early I'm sitting at 'bills truck stop' off the i85. I'm about 30 miles from shipper. It said no overnight parking available so this was the closest thing I could find. I'll fuel in the am then head over.

Think I will put in my request for hometime this week. By the time I get home I would have been on the road 8 weeks. They kept sending messages before I went home first time about staying out if you could since they are busy. Well I tried and stayed out longer than I wanted to but being routed through shop 3 times in 3 weeks left me short those weeks. 1st time I lost a day and a half, second time was a day and a half, 3rd time was just 5 hours. Just my luck though something is going to happen sometime soon and I'm sure I'll need something.

Oh I did get a raise though. From 33 to 35. I'll take it

My first load, made to the consignee in Arthur IL from near Dallas TX(800 some miles), tired as hell, drove 10hrs today so that I can have 10hr break before unloading tomorrow morning. It's very nice here, it's IL Amish country in the middle of huge cornfields. Horse and buggy everywhere, had never seen it before. It's amazing how the women still dress like back in the day, with a bonnet..It kinda of feels like you're in a movie set..lol
