1999- low 2000's Transcraft Eagle

I have a ravens. It's pretty legit. Can't say I really like the way the wiring is ran when you have to get at it. Otherwise decent. I also have a reitnour. Good trailer, no complaints here. It's also a 2006, vs the ravens 2000. So age plays a difference for wiring issues..

Only Transcrafts I've pulled were about that vintage, n they were not very good. No cracks, but had a lot of swayback when loading over 30k belly loaded. They were combos, frames rusted fast. I wouldn't purchase a transcraft, because of that experience. They sure do get sold cheap tho, hard to overlook the 'easy to get into' factor

 

Those banana crafts are junk. Use the search feature to find all the info. There is definitely a reason they are cheap.

 

Look at transact as a cheap way to get into flats. Nothing wrong with that. Just be sure to give it a very good inspection before buying. Pay extra attention to where the suspension is welded to the frame. The fifth wheel plate. And also the main cross members between the frame rails. Also, I would never buy a trailer without the coil package. Those extra cross members really strengthen a trailer up, even if you never haul coils it's well worth the few extra bucks.

 

Some people call them transscrap. But I like them, I've pulled one over a million miles and their good trailers IMO. But you can't treat them like garbage you gotta be gentle with it.

You want one of the best get a MAC.

 

I'm not a pro at skateboarding, hay and crushed cars is about all I put on it. It's a 53 spread with aluminum deck I got at a bargain I sure like it though.

 

I have a 2001 TL-3000 tridem 53 combo, and had to replace about 25 cross members that were rusted out quite badly. It was not a fun job. Those years are particularly bad for rust. All that said the trailer gets used daily and we have not had any other issues with it.

 

Mine rode smooth as a babies butt and wore all the inside tires out rapidly. Transcraft factory said I pulled it too fast because it was lazered at the factory so "nothing" could go wrong Pretty trailer, apitong strips were great nailers but alignment was problematic.

 

I enjoyed my transcraft it was a combo. The rails rusted bad between wheels. Had a good life, but when they get old trade it off.

 

I have a 96 Eagle, 48 with a set of log bunks(aluminum), and its been a good trailer. Combo, but not as rusty as most I've seen.
