Note sure why Averitt is leading this poll ... For local ltl paid hourly sure but there is some regional drivers posting in TTR only getting 150-1800 miles a week (lots of term to term night runs)

Home weekends but with a low pay check

id say go to Heyl ... Don't think Raven will hire under a yr ...
You should be in Conway Truckloads hire area ( drop yard in JAX)

Thanks for the notice. Yeah, I want to be home every 2 weeks at least. Raven said they would hire me under a year, but I would do a few weeks of training.

You work for Con-way Truckloads? I was VERY close to going on with them, but my experience doesn't carry over if I work TL and want to go to CW Freight.

A lot of people are saying Heyl. Not much on Rinaudo, but they are heavy equipment. I would train for a few weeks. .40 empty, .45 loaded, .50 oversize load.

If you want freight just go apply ... TL exp don't mean much to them . I'd recommend Southeast Freight in Jax as its a brand new terminal ... Yeah Conway TL you would make to much $$$ try to come home every two weeks ... Heyl seems to run out west /mid west them back to FL ...

I need all my endorsements first. Does SF hire with 6 months OTR? I'm looking into them. I might just never come home and make lots of $$$, haha. Heyl is looking pretty darn good.

Not sure .... Most of the freight companies will have training programs ... That would get your foot in the door .... SEFL also runs mostly 53' dry vans , which is a added bonus not to have to deal with doubles .... I do like Raven ... Used to know alittle bout them in the last 90's when I drove out of Jax but I can't say I know to much know ... Not much on TTR on them

take a look at Abieline Expess ... Small company but seems like a good one out of Richmond VA
search out YardDart post on them ( not sure what the hiring requirements are ... )

Heyl wouldn't hire me because I had an unemployment gap of 11 months...
