Yeah, that is a shame. I can tell from your posts you put in the time, work and effort. I think you are handling it the right way to put in proper notice and move on. Best of luck in the future and don't be afraid to check-in here, pass on what you learned in your experience with TransAm to new drivers and just to say "hi".

Sorry you're bored, Panhandle! Do you have a Kindle or a Nook? George loves his Kindle. You can download free books on it, surf the net (if you have working Wi Fi), play various games (also many free download), etc. They're nice devices to squelch boredom/or to help pass the time. Have a good night.

Panhandle flash and Gordon A Thank this.

Just popping in to update that I am in Salina, heading toward Greencastle, PA. After two solid weeks together, my friend and I finally went separate ways. Today he picked up the load that I refused yesterday in Greeley and I was sent down to Holcomb. My truck is running better than ever and I won't elaborate on that subject anymore. *grin* Lucky me not only got a parking spot at the Petro at 830 pm but I also scored the Platinum shower. :) Once I got driving today I realized how incredibly boring it is without a running mate and was quite sad.

Good to be home and TransAm came through with my full hometime after all. They extended my pickup window until Wednesday evening meaning I can leave Wednesday morning and get the load to Earth City MO before midnight Thursday. So far, really liking it here at TA. Deuces.

Woke up this morning and was doing my trip plan for the day. Sitting at a Loves. I look up from my paper work and see hundreds of bees flying around the parking lot. They had a flat bed of bee hives come thru the scale and he left a few hundred bees from his load behind when he left. The employees were not too happy. I just closed my windows and got out of there. (Sigh)

Something horrible has happened ....I have had an uncharacteristic desire to get out a big club and make a scathing retort and pound home some truth to a couple of posts:biggrin_25516:.....so unlike my normal self..... Then it hit me ....the Cranky Yankee has been pretty easy going..... somehow our personalities have been switched! :UFO: :biggrin_25524: I have asked His Crankiness to please return my zen to me.....to no avail! So until such time that I can regain my own personality I will follow some old fashioned advice ....if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all. For right now I am going to dig out my tinfoil tiara and lay down and take a nap, all this crankiness fits better in a body that is over 6' tall than it does in one that is only 4'11" tall, hopefully I will wake up back to my old self.
