Should be....but transfers aren't even over $100 yet and transfer rates are usually higher than end dump.

I got rid of my transfer when I moved to the central valley in 07. How many hours are you getting a week? I dont see a lot of CARB compliant transfers running around well, except for West Coast.

End dump work is usually hourly or tonnage. Why would you ever wanna work by the load? That is what destroyed the bottom dump business

Owners and drivers with Deleted are what destroyed the bottom dump business in California. Now they're working to ruin the transfer and end dump business too. Their answer to any rate question is always "I'll do it cheaper".

Amen to that. But, they werent the first but have succeded in doing it well. Call me a racist or what ever you want. Its the truth and everyone including them, knows it. How can you possibly run a CARB compliant truck and do everything the right way for $85 hr? You cant. I want to own my own business and live the American dream. Not the Hindu-american dream. Im all for capitalism and competion but seriously?

:smt024 Okay, the mods deleted the words I used to describe the people who have helped make dirt hauling in California into such a low end business. I could have probably used a more socially acceptable term.

BUT...everybody with a set of bottom dumps, an end dump, or a transfer knows exactly what I'm talking about.

Running for rates that were barely adequate ten years ago is self defeating. Junk equipment...dangerous equipment...unskilled drivers, and a willingness to live at the poverty level while working eighty hours a week are the result of "I do it cheaper".
