So if they check your records can they detect internet activity on your phone or just calls/texting? For example I'm reading this forum and I get a critical event?

They only ask for records when you get a random alcohol test, or in the case of an accident. If you are stationary when looking on the internet, then there is no issue at all.

They only compare the time of sending a text with only your drive time on your logs. Stop at a light send a text and still on the drive line then you will be fired.

Lots of apps that only use data and much harder to detect if driver was using it or not, many apps use data all the time.

Ryder Dedicated Logistics- Houma Division does this on their Shell Account, but allows handheld CB radios. Didn't understand the difference.

The unofficial (but truthful) answer is, "The CB does not leave a trail, but the cell phone does."
