Favourite Truck Stops in Ontario

I have heard of them, never looked into them though. Any idea how much the discounts are, particularly at the esso cardlocks in Canada and wherever else they are accepted in the US?

 

just fyi, the HST is added after the fuel tax is added ...

 

Lancaster with the Denny's - Best Denny's I ever ate at. Good food - Good staff AND I can eat and load up on coffee before shooting for the east coast. Means I don't have to stop until mid NB someplace. Don't make that run much more these days, but it's nice to have it laid out.

 

There is a good Esso Cardlock in Kingston, just off the Gardiners Rd Exit, across from the petro pass. There used to be a good restaurant and showers there..

 

The 611 exit. The petropass across the road has clean showers, and the A&W in the petro is now 24 hours.

 

The Esso in Comber (401 exit 48) has the cleanest showers I've seen so far. The ladies there scrub them down after each shower. It's more of a fuel stop with lots of rig parking a Timmies and A&W next door. Good stop for fuel before heading across at Windsor. Stay away from the secondary fuel island though. It's new and still finicky.

 

If you are just looking for a meal, stop at Mike's exit 566 at Marysville Rd. You won't find a better spot to eat on the 401.
