BTW 3 of the coils where "eye in the sky". One tall one cut two of my straps, I padded properly as I did the others with that spongy rectangular pad, and twice when I went to do my LCTC, the padding was in place and the strap was cut on the surface of the trailer..weird, does it happen often to you guys??

Also, do you guys sometimes have trouble sleeping? Since I've been on my own, I find that I have much more trouble having a long sleep. Like now, I have to get "on board" at 1 am, have only slept 2 hours and can't shut eye for the life of me..

Haven't had my straps cut from eye in the sky coils. I've had a few tall ones before and padded the same as you. Did you check out your straps before? When I got my truck I had to switch two straps because they were already frayed.
I do have trouble sleeping, especially recently since I've been switching driving day then driving at 1am. I wake up almost every hour for a few mins. Kind of sucks.
I was told to take my 10 after getting empty and send on board when it's done. Don't know why. It was over at 10pm and I still only have 2 hours available til midnight. Doesn't make sense to me why not just say sleep til morning? Do we dispatch this late? Sitting in Minneapolis... Guess I'll go back to sleep unless I hear my QC going off -
Same here, just got up to be put on board, I'll be pissed if they don't send me anything till morning and made get up just to send this macro..now I'm wide awake and can't even get a coffee as I'm parked at Wally..
BTW, my straps are new..hope it doesn't again, else i'll be out of straps soon..

Just ask for more when you get to a terminal or buy some if you need them, they should reimburse.
Yea I got a message back saying load planners aren't in til 7am.
So all I got up for was to send a macro. And I went to sleep early just in case when I could've stayed up and got back on a normal sleep pattern. Pretty sure it was just to get in line...

Hey Floyd that was my buddy in the silver Melton Freightliner. He picked up @ Alcoa and had the same stops as you. He ended sitting till 9am Tulsa time before getting his next load. He is going to Road Island to Arkansas for Monday.
I'm collecting detention at Utility Trailers in Arkansas. Melton has a load they need me to cover but I am low on hours so they called over to Utility to remind them of detention. Didn't work though they are at lunch. I still be able to cover the load but it better not burn my weekend. -
Got preplan info, load tomorrow morning and have a stop in Louisiana and end in texas. 1420 miles.
I'll stick where I am since there isn't any truck stop close to shipper, I'll get a 34hr in by tomorrow morning and won't have to worry about hours getting to these spots.
