Yeah, I have seen some Gliders around also, but you just can't buy an emissions legal Argosy in the states, again, pisses me off. -

We stopped going to WA a while ago. They hate highmounts! Dont really know why they just do. Did figure out how to get around the Longview port of entry though. SHHHHHH!!!!! Its a shame because its a beautiful drive and great prime rib at GeeCee's in Toledo,WA

Think they are equal opportunity hate as have heard guys with flats have issues with them too. Do not really know many van/reefer/tank guys, so cannot comment there.
But speaking of the Pacific Northwest, what is the deal or actual expense with Oregon's fuel/mileage tax? It sounds expensive, but honestly never knew if the fuel price offset the difference in the tax you pay them or how that all worked. Just know it is a big deal for the scale houses to write up out of state trucks without the registration card. -
It IS more expensive and what you save on fuel with your "PUC" number doesn't offset the better pump price, it just bugs me that it's a PITA to call and get a permit all the time, esp, if your routes/pickups change while in that state.
Somewhere on this site I have a rant about them now charging you double for permits so they can put some extra money into an escrow account for you until you reach a certain number depending on your operation.
They wanted 4,000.00 from me, all because they have to be better than everyone else and aren't part of IFTA, it's states like these that need to be boycotted first, there is no reason in this day and age of transportation that ICC rules and regs aren't uniform across the lower 48.SemperFiServices and LBZ Thank this. -
I am doing my part as have not been there since 2007.

Thinking the reefer & tanker guys would be the ones that would get their attention the quickest if they stopped going. No food or fuel tends to have that effect. -
They are not so friendly to heavy haulers either. Especially Oregon. S/B Woodburn scales stops me all the time just to do routine checks on my chain rating. Really? WA and OR have been known for being nice to their own trucks but hate out-of towners. Thats we charge a premium for the northwest

I had thought about painting my trucks Robin's Egg Blue to see if I could sneak thru as a GTI, lolskellr Thanks this. -
That would probably do it
