I'm working with a manufacturer on naming some new product features to be released in the future. We'd love to get input from drivers and dealers in order to help guide the process of naming this new bundle of features. I'd really appreciate responses to the following brief questions.
- How strongly do you associate the word Assurance with safety on a scale of 1 to 5 where 1 is not strong at all and 5 is extremely strong.
- If a new bundle of safety features were named Assurance, do you feel that would stand out in the marketplace? Why?
- Do you see any benefits to using the word Assurance for the new bundle of safety features? How about any downsides?
Thank you so much for your time and input, I really appreciate it!

Assurance just sounds weak to me...
-
Thanks for your input Tow. Why do you think Assurance is weak?
-
Not really sure but seems to be falling short of a guarantee... lack of commitment
researcherbend Thanks this. -
If you use assurance another word should be in front...its not strong enough to stand a lone
researcherbend and tow614 Thank this. -
Assurance, every one uses that. You got old people cell phone called assurance wireless. That's what I think of when I hear assurance. Scale of 1 for assurance with safety. When I think of something like bundle of safety features I'd say something like iron clad protection or rock solid etc
researcherbend and tow614 Thank this. -
I would say it depends on the context. "Assurance" can/could be associated with "safety" in the right context .... by many. It may be as good a choice as any. I tend to associate "assurance" with insurance products and sales of insurance products
researcherbend Thanks this. -
OK here is the thing, how many really know what "Assurance" means?
: the state of being sure or certain about something
: a strong feeling of confidence about yourself or about being right
: a strong and definite statement that something will happen or that something is true -
thank you Mr. Webster ...
so why not.just say that -
Sounds like your trying to market an adult diaper or something.
You guys actually get paid to do this type of research?
Just gives me the mental image of a conference room filled with these overworked, distraught entry level marketing dweebs sitting around, complete with dry erase boards barely legible, loose neckties and empty Chinese food take out boxes scattered around from the all-nighter of trying to name the product- and one, in a last, feeble attempt at glory in the marketing world, logs into the trucker forum to tap into our endless wisdom.Last edited: Jun 29, 2014
