Get your trailer washed out before you arrive in Maine.
TransAm will refer you to a washout place near exit 3, just as you cross into Maine. Last time I was there it took 2.5 hours to get the washout done. Once you are in the washout line, you are blocked in by trucks coming in behind you and are stuck to go with their super slow program.

So George bought a plug in cooler. That will open up a lot of cooling options for him, as you shared a few weeks ago, CrankyYanky. He was tight on his 14 last night, because the receiver in Missouri took about 3+ hours to unload his truck. Proud of him, though, he did not exceed his 14. Even though he didn't have time to get to a safe truck stop, he stopped at a closed weigh station for the night. He's trying to get it right.
Panhandle flash and HometimeQueen Thank this. -
The Ohio State Highway Patrol will join law enforcement agencies in five other states over the next three days to promote the ‪#‎MoveOver‬ law along Interstate 75. Its part of the ongoing ‪#‎StayingAliveon75‬ safety campaign that was first launched in March. All six states that I-75 runs through (Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan) will be participating in an intensified enforcement effort focusing on the #MoveOver law.

In a press release, ConnDOT said, Interstate 84 will be closed in both directions to all traffic at Exit 30, Marion Avenue in Southington, on Friday night June 27, and is scheduled to reopen Monday morning, June 30, 2014. MAJOR TRAFFIC DELAYS ARE ANTICIPATED! MOTORISTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PLAN AHEAD, AVOID THE AREA, AND TO SEEK ALTERNATIVE ROUTES!
ConnDOT recommends motorists use I-91, I-691, Route 9 and Route 72 instead, however local detours are in place for residents and businesses.
The interstate will be closed down while crews work to repair bridges over the interstate. -

DOWNTOWN MEMPHIS, Tenn. (FOX13) -The Tennessee Department of Transportation will shut down access to the westbound lanes of the I-40 Hernando DeSoto bridge over the Mississippi River in Downtown Memphis for five hours Sunday morning as it prepares for a short term total closure of the bridge in July.
The lane closures are required for TDOT crews to safely remove the message sign and move it to a new location. This work is being done in order to install a seismic expansion joint at the bridge abutment. -
