Anyone have any information on this company. Based in Vass,NC. Pull propane, liquid asphalt, and sand. Interested in the location in Wooster, OH. Think that location used to be Macilvane trucking. Thanks for the help.

I doubt I know any more than you, but I just applied in SC. Pays percentage.
-
Yup, pays percentage. Was told only a 30 day wait till insurance kicks in, That's nice. Think there is perdiem of $25 a day. Just trying to find out what kind of $$$ can be made. Never worked on percentage before so don't know what questions to ask them other than out right asking to see the revenue sheets.
-
They don't try to hide anything, your pay printouts will show what you made and what the truck made on the load so there's no guessing. Pay is bi-weekly, 2 weeks vacation after a year. I worked for them for a short period of time here in Florida hauling fly ash, wish I was still with them but some things don't always work out. There's a few little things in their benefits package that are nice such as a weekly guarantee, it's not much somewhere around 500, but if for some reason the truck doesn't work for reasons such as weather or breakdowns, it's nice to know you have that to fall back on. They pay demurage after 2 hours, it's not much, maybe 12 an hour if I recall but it helps.
-
I was told a fairly large range in annual wages. Being percentage I suspect you do better pulling high value loads like propane compared to sand.
-
I was doing flyash and grossing right at a little over 1K per week, I was at 24%. I'm pretty sure you can make good money across the board, no matter what it is you're hauling.

Thanks for the info. I am going to the Ohio term. to do a face to face Monday. Check out the equipment, meet the staff. Hey trashtrucker, you still around the Inverness, Fl. area? I used to live there.
-
Yep, I was raised here and still live here, in the Highlands.

Had a nice talk with the terminal mgr in Wooster oh. Everything sounds really good as they are looking to expand business throughout my area. Will be starting there mid July. They just opened this terminal at the beginning of this year.

Update on Sterling as I have been working here for 6 months. New mack tractors spec 'd for light weight. Straight fleet truck with the cheapest options available. Trailers are terrible. Just keep using band aids to keep them going. Pay can be real good if you stay on high paying loads. Paid percentage. Not perfect but no job is.
