Mix with a balanced diet, and I usually have a nutribullet shake for dinner (kale, spinach, banana, peanut butter, and a few berries)... You just have to want it.
Why don't you exercise ?

I started taking my health a bit more seriously around 5 or 6 years ago. Cut out a lot of the hurtful diet crap and stopped drinking. Friends couldnt believe it but just wasnt fun anymore. Wish I had a cool story to go with it like I crashed my car into the living room but there isnt one. Anyways I dropped 40 pounds and feel better. Hit the eliptical almost everyday for 40 minutes. The ones I dont get are nurses, seems like the only hot ones are on TV. The ones in real life all look like linebackers? What gives there?
bergy Thanks this. -
Looks like you've done your homework. Good luck to your health and success!

T/A has gyms at select stops, but I've seen them, they are just ok.....

i wouldn't say back breaking labor is equal to being fit. It does keep the pounds off. I was part of the now extinct white, English speaking construction workers. Looking back, I'd say I abused my body. They were like dog years. 7 to 1 ratio.

Yeah, we need to take care of our bodies. They can take a lot of abuse, but there's a limit. Minimal sleep/stress/poor eating habits lead to an early grave. I've seen many a what I thought were 60 yr old drivers and found out they were 45.

I do the same, but for lunch. A nutribullet is a great device open to whatever ingredients trip your trigger. Typically I put in spinach, plain yogurt, blueberries, tart cherries, oats, mixed nuts, cocoa powder (1 tblsp) or dark chocolate squares(2), banana, 1tsp turmeric, water.WotansVolkman, HalpinUout and just_the Thank this.

I love that nutribullet; xMas gift. I do practically the same thing; I use oats often, also quinoa, but almond milk vs. water usually. I know its probably weird, but I like to go to sleep on an empty stomach. Sleeping when full makes me restless. Another benefit is how well it lets you make superfoods delicious. The green smoothies freak a lot of people, but get past the looks and yum yum.Alaska76 Thanks this.

They are nice, and very open to ones imagination when it comes to ingredients. I used mine to make fresh tahini then with that, made hummus recently. Man, is that good stuff.

Stay up all night tonight and tell me about 5am if you feel like going for a run.

Drivers are fatigued a lot. A 14 hour day catches up with you day after day. It's much easier on a young person. Once you hit about 45 your body starts doing weird things.
If you stay on top of it, eat well and exercise it not so bad. When your time clock is pressed, parking is limited, many drivers end up eating a poor diet of fast food and processed food. It's a slow process of getting overweight. It took me 12 years of trucking before it caught up with me. Now I'm trying to slowly reverse it.
Another problem is boredom driving. Some drivers will snack and snack just to be doing something.
One might not start out lazy. Many are just like you now. 1000 subs and 1000 burgers later they think differently. It's something a driver has to be conscious of and work at it every day or you will fall in the trap.
The skinny hyper guy that lives off of Popeyes chicken only fools himself. His arteries will clog up too. Don't let body size determine one's health.jjsiegal, ChefBrianN and jungledrums Thank this.
