Good point. I think I'm one of those...5'9'' 165 lbs. Never have watched my diet or had an exercise regimen. Greenhorn to trucking lifestyle. Always had physically active jobs before now. I'll have to start keeping up or I'll probably fall behind. That's when it gets really hard to catch up.

I eat less when I'm on the road. When I'm at home I eat too much, because all the good food in the fridge. Driving keeps me busy and my mind off food. Sometimes I go a whole day only eating a banana, granola bar, and small bag of peanuts. I make sure to take a multi vitamin everyday however.

im not a big guy by any means 5-7 145lbs in my younger days i was heavily involved in sports, and was very physically fit. not quite so physicly fit anymore but still healthy. one day i looked down and realized my stomach was sticking out a little bit stepped on the scale and realized i had gained 20 lbs. now 165 may not sound that big and i was not fat by any means but defiantly realized i had to be a bit more careful or i would become fat. i determined alot of it was that i had been snacking all day every day. i haven't sense then carried any snack food in the truck. with some extra exercise and cutting the snack food out i fairly quickly went back to my normal weight. i gained it slowly so i don't know how long it took but im just glad i realized it before it was 30-40-50lbs later and would have been a lot harder to loose it back

I do exercise, I pull a lowboy locally. More chaining down in a day than some guys do in a week.

We start 'em out from birth to be fat, soft and lazy. Can't let 'em run wild in the streets as kids cuz the preverts will catch 'em and do unthinkable things to them. Just plop them down in front of the TV and let them see all the feminized men and liberal ideas or give them the video games where a good thumb workout is a hard days work. Corn syrup and fatty, processed non-nutritious foods for 21 years, no jobs for teens to even learn a work ethic, then send them off to CDL school to get them out of mom's basement, and they are happy as long as they can bring their X-box along in the truck!

We are doomed as a nation!

That's no excuse. What's stopping anyone from running before their shift starts? Drivers aren't fatigued from a 14 hour day every day, drivers are just lazy.
