New trucks are Cummins with 9 speed trans. Not sure about HP. High enough, but limited. Most of the guys rarely drop below 8th they say. All TMC is limited to 62. They also fixed the glitch where you could ride the clutch and get extra speed.

When I asked Damien back when they were first coming in, he said "around 475," so I'm guessing about a 450 cummins? Specialized will be getting 13's in the 579 from what I'm being told by my dispatcher.

I ran at 32% and it was because I paid attention to detail. Keep track of your actual MPG so you can correct bad habits before they settle in. Keep on top of detail and make all your decisions based on "how will it help my %". Invest in a Rand Mcnally GPS, it'll pay for itself in a month or two. Before you leave out, invest a few extra minutes to really study your routing to find the smartest route...not simply the fastest or shortest. Its usually a combination of the two. work your clock down every day and only shut down for the required breaks.

Its much easier to maintain 32% as a trainer because you have a lot more revenue. A big part of the % point are based on revenue. If you can get weekly revenue above 4000, you can do a lot of the rest wrong and still make 32%. For a solo driver, they have to do everything right to get 32% and do to revenue, they still might not make 32%
