We worked for Dotline. What a mistake. They have a lot of hidden charges they don't tell you about till you get your first ck and your ck says you owe them money. You stay broke. They will run you just enough to pay what you owe then then the miles stop. I really don't see how Dotline stays in business.
stay away from dotline

No offense but DOT Line stays in business because of people just like you. In fact, all junk OTR companies stay in business because of all those that buy into the adds. It seems that nobody ever learns.bigdogpile Thanks this.

The scary part is that years ago they were a really good company, the wife and I teamed there back in 2002 and we made good miles, good money and no headaches, they took excellent care of everything on the trucks and trailers... then they got into the fleece purchase deal like a lot of companies did, we got gone as soon as they started talking about it for down the road.... I hear about them now and can't get over how many really good companies have gone to crap.... such a shame.

The company i work for now is doing the same thing ,we build this local company up from the ground up and now us original drivers are a burden to them they are so big now ,they look at us like we cost too much to pay us top rank drivers ,they go shoping for rookie drivers at the driving schools and then jerk them around hard until we start teaching them things that truck driving schools don't teach them ...i hate what is happening to the transportation industry ,we have DOT hitting us with all kinds of regulations and trucking companies hitting us from the blind side ,they don't want to pay and they will do anything to get out of paying their help ...sad thing is ,it's not like they are not making enough money ,they just don't want to pay, i try real hard to walk with god so basically i driver the truck as if i were driving the truck for god always giving the company a fair hand shake ,god does take care of me so i always have the upper hand on them but they rip up rookies ,i don't think it's right ,im thinking this will catch up with them sooner or later ,then we will all be out of a job because of their greed and dirty deeds ,don't get me wrong im not one of those company brown noser ,just Christian in the making ...they don't know what to do with guys like me ,got em outfoxed at every turn but it's not me tho ,it's god taking care of one of his many sons...ill keep trying to fill these young rookies in on the ball game ,it's business as unusual these days, dog eat dog ...but my big buddy does all the talking for me

My co driver and I did a lease with dotline. Thankfully it's a walk away lease and after three weeks we didn't walk but ran away from them as fast as we could. The miles were there but the revenue was not. Homeless is correct about the hidden charges. Everything sounds great up front. The numbers look decent on paper but when you get that first settlement and there's charges on it that were not discussed and you question it you get, oh well that's what we charge for whatever it was.
They said we could drive as company drivers the last say of orientation....we might still be there if we had gone that route. -
They can't deduct anything from your check that YOU didn't sign a piece of paper allowing them to deduct.
Did you READ what you signed????? -
So sad to hear so many companies are playing drivers like that. I don't think people realize what would happen if every truck in america shut down and refused to move..from the smallest puptruck, to the heavy haulers like myself,,gas trucks, reefer's, skateboards, parking lots,,etc..This country would be cut off at the knees in 3 days time. Gas would run dry, food stores would run out, ,,all them nice things..We as drivers , company and owner ops deserve better treatment both on and off the road..We make them money by delivering and picking up their goods no matter what it is..A 3 day stop would kill them and everyone they are involved with, clients, customers,,all of em would suffer..Then maybe the companies and people in general would know what its like to be in the have not's group..

DOTLINE on craigslist in many cities claiming that top pay is $450,000 a year + . I see that I smell a dead rat , in 13 years , I have never seen or heard of pay like that , even in the specialized fields .

Bingo !!!!....they live off the backs of unsuspecting rookie drivers ,they dumb em down ,and steal their $ with self serving policies , i feel bad when i see some good people get raked over the coals ....guess thats the way we do bussiness these daystruckerman75103 Thanks this.
