So then I think it's safe to say that drivers can drink while their doing a reset.

And you know... there are lots and lots of guys... and gals who are in the wrong career like that guy :biggrin_25523: That co. was full of them...

About the "emergency"... you know, in this business things change all the time... at the last minute... for instance, a load supposed to be pick up tomorrow is cancelled and they send you another one to pick up today... What if you still have alcohol in your system?
In my former co. once in a while, dsp would send me a msg telling me to go to a clinic nearby (he would provide phone number) for a drug test... :biggrin_2554: Oh yeah... didn't matter when it was... before or after delivering a load or during off duty time... And I had to rush before the clinic closed on that day to get the test done and fax the results to dsp...
Sitting for 2 days with no pay? Ohh... I am sorry man.... that sucks! :biggrin_2552:

I'm sure it's company dependent but legally yes. When I worked at CRST (yes I admit it) you couldn't drink period even on a reset. You could only on home time and no drinking in the 12 hours before you were scheduled to come off home time. Regardless you don't want to drink inside the truck.

I would also think you wouldn't want to idle after a night of drinking. The keys being in the ignition and all that.

Thanks a bunch. I guess that is what he meant. I guess if I would of did the test today. It would be more then 24 hours before somebody could test it I guess due to the holiday. No worries I'll see if I can get it done next week. I'm in no hurry, and I still have some questions before I pull the trigger anyway.

Well pulled the Yella and red in front of Affiliated foods in Armadillo, TX. Guess I'll go check in. I know they are going to call me in early and don't feel like playing " Beat the elog game". Plus my other load cancelled. So I just might check in around the time of my apt. Scratch that I'm down for beating the Elog since it won earlier. Pay backs are a mother. Well it's that time. I'm goneeeeeee.

Kicked a few off in West Memphis today, over on the levee by the barge company. Circled thru the Loves hunting a fuel filter for my ol truck. Told the guy in the shop to get lost, 65 dollars oh installed. He musta fell and bumped his head if he thinks his grubby paws is gonna fondle my CAT. Called the local O'reilly's they deliver for free 18.38 tax and all brought right to the Loves parking lot. I gave the kid a 20 and felt like i ripped him off lol.
I got more than one dirty look when I backed into the back row guess they thought I was settling in for the night. when I did settle it was at the house for the holiday.
Hope everybody has a good one whether home or on the road.

Parked at a Chevron across the street from the Pilot somewhere just east of Monroe, LA. Has a Waffle House in the lot so it's breakfast for dinner. Got to be in Tifton Ga for 10am unload on Saturday so I have a nice full day to keep me busy for the holiday
