I hope things will work out for you. George and I have struggled financially a few times recently. It certainly isn't a picnic. Praying things will get better!

passport, I found this article today and thought about our conversation awhile back about driverless trucks. Actually, I started thinking about it more with the article about solar roadways .....and the fact that they could be the conduit for communication between the trucks and the roads.
Truck drivers could become a thing of the past on the highways of the future. Daimler thinks so and unveiled it driverless Future Truck 2025 on Thursday. Using the makers Highway Pilot system, the prototype semi-truck is capable of hauling a full load at speeds exceeding 50 mph. The truck of the future is a Mercedes-Benz that drives itself, said Wolfgang Bernhard, a member of Daimlers Board. There are plenty of potential benefits from a driverless semi-truck. Google and several U.S. manufacturers are testing autonomous vehicles, but the Future Truck represents a new movement. Mercedes seems to be focusing on developing the truck for use in European Union countries. Bernhard suggested that legislative issues regarding the use of autonomous trucks need to be at the forefront of trade and commerce discussions because the technology is developing so quickly. The volume of road transport in Germany alone will increase from 3.7 billion tons today to nearly 5.5 billion tons by 2050, according to the countrys Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure. -
Raining and loud thunder here. Tornado warnings have been in effect too. Creepy out! Flashlights are on standby! CY, that does sound like a sight....boats floating aimlessly without drivers down the street!!! Bet you wished you'd taken pictures. Speaking of interesting sights, today I saw a convoy-type camo truck pulling a camper behind it. I contemplated grabbing my phone & taking a picture of it but didn't. Oh how I wish I had! Drat it!!! It was a rare sight indeed!!
