Return to ACT (American Central Transport)

I've still got the 40 acres down south. . This place is closer to the yard. .Anyway is no big deal.

I delivered my St Bernard load and got a load I've never pulled. . Going from Mt Vernon OH to St Louis.. I'm at the shipper..it looks like empty liquid containers, so it should be light.

I would have MUCH rather had a Florence Ld.

I got DOT'd yesterday in Illinois. .It was a random target enforcement on 270 by the flying j.. extremely nice trooper..I think he heard an air leak on the trailer but he ignored it..I passed but was nervous as heck! It's been a long time since I've had blue lights behind me.

Oh yeah, elogs? He asked if I was on them. . Didn't even bother to look at them.

Aaargh! ACT really chapped my behind today. I'm sure there is some reason but it wasn't communicated to me. .And sometimes communication is key.

I delivered to St Louis.. It was supposed to be a drop/hook. . There were 3 ACT trailers there but none were empty and it being a union shop. . They were in no hurry to work.

So they said "take it to another warehouse"..gave me directions and the address. .15 miles, but I qc ACT just to let them know. . They qc back and gave me additional stop pay $50..cool

I received a pre plan. .pick up a trailer at the gateway drop yard and deliver in St Jo.. Good! That's my GET ME HOME load. . That works!

This is what chaps my butt!

I emptied at 12:15..receive a msg.. You'll receive load info after truck 8416 T-calls the load. . Should be around 12:30..ok so I head to the gateway..I go ahead and drop my trailer and look in the bill box of the other trailers already there. . Only 1 is loaded. . Brand new trailer. .20,000 lbs going to KC for tomorrow delivery. (8416 picked this load up)

I receive my dispatch at 1545..Go get my trailer. .45,000 lbs going to St Jo for tomorrow delivery..I qc ACT the above, asking why? Why did I sit for 3 1/2 hours for this load. .

Can't be because of hours. . I'm sitting across from the truck that dropped it.. They're both due tomorrow. . Makes no sense.

I guess to appease me. .I received a 3 load offer. .I took one picking up in Sedalia going to Nashville for Monday. .At least I don't have to scrounge for a trailer on Sunday. .ugh

 

I like Drums and guitars. .I have no idea what we're talking about lol..
