Enjoyed the few days I had up in Maine this week, though it was hot and humid. Got that storm while I was in Milford Connecticut, but no big deal. Was thinking I forgot to slide the tandems when I dropped my empty at Roberts in Northeast PA. They'll probably have me banned over there. Three washouts this week. Enjoyed fireworks at Toms truck stop in Milroy PA on route 322 about 23 miles east of State College. The nicest truck stop I have seen to date. And the townies were out enjoying the fireworks too. What an atmosphere!! All the families out with their lawn chairs and blankets in that scenic mountain setting. Makes me grateful for trying to become a truck driver.

Currently at a Loves inside the Indiana state line off of I 70 carrying 18000 lbs of baby wipes en route to DG warehouse in Fulton MO. Swapped this load out in Youngstown with a disgruntled TA driver who swears he's leaving TA after 90 days. Not about to tell him how happy I am here at TA so far. The Kool-Aid tastes pretty good so far. Deuces.

I think it is usually a drop and hook at Dollar General in Fulton, George. I believe you can deliver early if you are ahead of schedule, then it's not too far back to I 70 and the truck stop.

It's been a long hard week around here with too much going on. Yesterday evening we received word that another young friend had died. An eighteen year old boy that had just graduated from high school. He was a great kid from a great family. They were at the lake for a family picnic. He died trying to save someone else from drowning.

That's so sad, about the 18 year old! How noble to be attempting to help someone else out of trouble. His family must be devastated. I will pray for them.

Showed up at Dollar General in Fulton, dropped my trailer a day early, but they hadn't unloaded the trailer I was suppose to take. Hanging out at the Phillips 66 down the street. Will wait until tomorrow as dispatch suggested. Was bumping my 70 anyway so really no great loss. Got a preplan to Columbus Junction IA, again on a load that will get me home for the weekend going to Kinston NC. Deuces.

Since I am just mentally worn out and have lost my gift for gab,(temporary, I am sure), I have a blonde joke for you. Today this is something I would do :yes2557:

A blonde walked into a store and asked the cashier if he had a hanger she could use to unlock her car because she locked her keys inside.
The cashier nodded and handed her a hanger. She thanked him, went outside and got to work, jiggling the hanger and pulling it up and down trying to open the lock.
A few minutes later the cashier decided to check on the blonde and saw her trying to pull the lock open,... while another blonde who was sitting inside the car was yelling "a little to the left...no, a little to the right..."

You had people coming back from their holiday. I had NO problem last Monday with it. Of course I waited until after morning rush hour.
