I was kinda mad about them too. Although the the event that I needed proof an accident wasn't my fault I would be absolutely ecstatic about the camera saving my CDL and clearing my name. I feel it's for insurance reasons as well and so the company could possibly run you over back up run you over and piss and leave you out to dry if it was your fault. The only problem I have now is the audio. I feel that in the event of an accident your radio playing could cause "distraction" I think that audio should be off. Another reason is if I'm snapping my carrot in the back I don't want then hearing that nonsense of me going all out when needed, if you know what I mean.

They do it so they can please the insurance liabilities. As an employee you really don't have the right to flip someone off or curse them, makes the company look bad and then the 4 wheeler calls and complains about the loco driver. Remember all the bumper stickers on the backs of trucks with the company phone number and unit number ? This is just another way to keep us in check. It is what it is.

Whenever you play, you should bring your A-Game. But you didnt. And a cattle prod made you a better driver. You should be ashamed, but cattle dont feel shame, do they?

When some guys get locked up, they volunteer to be someone's girlfriend. They take a pounding and tell everyone, "thats the way it is. Get use to it." Cowardice is a fate worse than death.

I bring my A game everyday my friend...... 8 years at this current job. No tickets, No accidents, No incidents, Clean CDL, Nice new equipment. Nice comfortable living. Camera or no camera. I don't like it staring at me all day, everyday, but I do like my job, so I play by the rules.

Uh... you understand a camera isn't going to prevent you from vocalizing or gesturing... right...?

You mean... other than being the owner of the truck...?

Before you got your CDL, what kind of driver were you ? Personally, I drove like a bat outta hell, raced everything from cars to bikes to anything that rolled. When you got your CDL, did it make you a better, safer, more courteous driver ? I would say yes. My CDL is very valuable to me, so I do whatever it takes to keep it clean. So I guess you could say our CDL's are a cattle prod as well, because it makes us perform at a higher level than the average motorist, and the rules are much more strict and tougher for us, but we do what we gotta do !! MOOOO

How would you like to be the poor schmuck sitting in a room somewhere watching endless hours or drivecam footage, day after day ? No thanks.
