USX is advertising in CL for home everyday ad. I will paste the highlights of the ad.

    Home Daily w/2 Days Off
Average $925+ WeeklyHOME DAILY w/2 Days Off (overnight trip required)
    100% No-Touch Freight
Details are subject to change. Please call for current offers.

I called the recruiter(USX Employee), and he emailed me a application.
He told me Health Insurance was $27 a week for non tobacco users, and it was a Walmart account.
But that's about all he could tell me.

If there are any Texas Drivers working out of Terrell on this account, I sure would appreciate some feedback.

This is my first post and very glad to be a member of Truckers Report.

You won't find a lot of guys running this yet, this is a new USX Account.
    Think Greatwide had it before.

Walmart is so easy I am on their tour where I help wherever they need it.
I wish they had that in Atlanta where I could be home everyday and off 2 a week. No brainer...you only haul walmart trailers and its consistently busy at walmarts...go for it

Thanks for the feedback CDuke619. I just mailed the app in. I guess I needed a little push.
If I am fortunate enough to make it to orientation, I can make a better decision then.

    CDuke619 Thanks this.

This morning a really nice recruiter called me at home., and offered to set up orientation.
    His name was Rob C.
I had a few unanswered questions about the job, so I drove to the Walmart DC in Terrell and spoke with a USX driver.
The best information about any job is to talk to the drivers first. I think this a fairly new account for USX. And with new accounts
there are always bugs to work out. There are some issues to work out, but once they are, this could be a decent gig. It is not a drop and hook. You back into the dock and go inside and peel stickers off pallets. You need the stickers to get paid. The quicker you get unloaded, the quicker you get home or make more money. If there is a delay at the receiver, you just have to wait.
If I were a road driver with 2 or 3 years experience, and wanted off the road, I would definitely check this out. But for me right now, I am going to pass. Tomorrow I am driving my car to Cleburne and Glen Rose to check out the oil patch.

You just peal the sticker off of each pallet they actually take the pallets off. It is just to prove each pallet was delivered to the particular store. Its so simple and you're not unloading it. Plus walmart stores really for the most part are trying to get you in and out as fast as possible from my experiences. Whats the turn off?

I ran a few walmart loads (grocery on a dedicated reefer trailer ). Out to stores and return to the dc. The stores get you in and out. I think that is a priority of walmart, because you have multi-stops. The driver has to stand on the dock and pull a sticker off each palet stick it on the paperwork. I did it with Crete a few times when they needed help. I knew drivers that liked it. I think some dc's are better than others. DC's near big cities mean dealing with more traffic and shorter hauls , so it can be difficult to get your miles.

This is an easy gig as far as job duties. But you WILL NOT make $925 a week. I repeat you will not make $925 a week. I have never made over low 800's on this run out of this same DC, and I talk to a lot of drivers there to get info on trucking in general but I have never had any driver there say he has hit that $925. Most will tell you the same thing I did. The only way you will even hit $800 is if you get some good runs which it is forced dispatch so you cannot control that and you work both of your off days. But on average you can expect a check between 400to 600 depending on you calling and getting loads because dispatch is not on your side. I call everyday to get a load, do not expect them to just give you one. Even though in my mind they should have a load for you based on your available hours but we all know things don't happen like they should all the time. Now as far as Walmart and Sams, they are in no hurry to do anything. You go to some stores and they are trying to get you in and out. But that is not the majority. Most stores the speed of getting unloaded falls on you. If you ring the bell and no one opens the door(even though they see you in the window) walk to the front find a manager. Call the number on your load info to get a manager to unlock the door, or in extreme cases call dispatch. But if you are just waiting on them you will be there forever. Especially Sams they are notorious for saying we are on break.
Would I do this account again No
Is this a bad account No it may fit your needs perfectly
Will this account help build experience Yes
Is the money good In my opinion No the money sucks for the hours you are putting in, and chasing down loads
