On my return trip from KCMO today I passed a flat bedder, who will remain nameless, that instead of neatly rolling his straps, he just tied them up in knots. Should be fun if he continues to do that in the rain or even worse, the snow and ice. I am sure I would of started a verbal war had I asked him if he had no pride in his work.................all I needed was a CB. (HA! Probably a good thing I am in a day cab!)

Maybe that's why he tied them in knots because it was raining and plans on fixing it the next time he stops.Or are you talking about after he tarped his load?If so won't take long before he gets pulled over by a DOT.Does'nt your phone have a camera or do you carry a cell phone?

No, his load was tarped! (Yes my phone has a camera, but I don't talk on it while going down the road so I didn't think I could start taking pictures in the fast lane on I-70.)

Ya that's the lazy way that's for sure the longer they stay in knots the tighter it gets.Hope he has something to cut the straps once he reaches his destination.Don't the excess strap gets tucked neatly in between the binder and flatbed or something?

Can you please keep your negative posting out of the flatbed section Pattyj? We realize you have nothing better to do then try to run down trucking but please spread your negativity somewhere else. Thank you.

Uh... you mean like the OP...? Maybe it's time to think about running for moderator, or moderating your own site.
