They pay you all dispatched miles loaded or empty. Your pay will depend on your experience. If your a newbe u get 15 cents for every mile the truck rolls, if your a newbe,,,you will be with a trainer for about 5K miles,,,,,then a partner for 30K miles. So essentially 30 cents a mile for the first 35000 miles,,then it goes to 33 cent a mile plus safety and fuel saving incentives.

I left yesterday the 3rd,,and am returning on the 7th of July.....I finished phase 1 about 2 weeks ago,,,went home for a week then came back on like the 30th of June,,like I said earlier there were literately NO people there entering phase 2, SO I came home cause nothing was going to happen over the this (July 4) weekend/holiday.

I dealt with a "Monica" (yes, that was her name) at my previous employer. It wasn't PTL. However, this gal was working dispatch at all of 22 years of age in the gas hauling industry. Way too young to be doing something where she had no idea just how dangerous our line of work can be and acting like she was the boss over us. Lord willing, she'll either grow up or get fired.

As for the second bold, I learned a long time ago as a truck driver that we are the last line of defense. We are essentially hockey goalies. We're either solid wall guys like Patrick Roy and Dominik Hasek, or we're swiss cheese goalies like Robb Stauber. In other words, close the five hole and the top shelf as much as you can and don't let them make you do anything illegal or unethical (like my Monica tried to do to me). Otherwise, you will get caught eventually and you will pay a heavy price for it.

You will, in phase I, team with a trainer. During that phase you are expected to drive around 5,000 miles,,,the trainer will drive also. How long this phase lasts depends on the runs you get. I got lucky and drove 3400 miles my first week,,,after that the runs got shorter and it took another week to drive 1600 miles. PHASE II you are teamed with another phase II driver, and the both of you are expected to drive about 15000 miles each (30,000 on the truck) SO you will need a bed roll ( a sleeping bag and pillow works great) for both phases. AFTER phase II you get your own truck,,,and if you desire you can run team.

If you call not having any idea on what condition thee INSIDE of the cab is before you get there
" no big deal " than I have to disagree with that statement . I recovered one for a different co. ,the inside was
covered with dog hair , the mattresses were so stained / wore out as to make the town dump clean by comparison .
Also the " used personnel effects " the driver left behind would make any *****house proud . I won't ever make that
    mistake again .

Ok Boss now you have me curious. I was just in with Kevin & Monty most of the morning so I had to have been there at the same time as you I'm thinking. We are probably gonna cross paths very soon since I keep getting the hard sell from Kevin to be a trainer... Which I don't want to do but he's a pushy little man.
