I do still owe roehl. We will find out what the terms for paying it back will be shortly. I was very happy with the school, but apparently it's changed not long after I graduated so I can't say for sure. I don't know anyone personally who has gone and then went with another company right out of school, but it does happen and pretty often I am told.

Haha!
Bad week here. Lite miles. Too much extra time on two loads.
Been three weeks since seen a good basic check.
At this moment....thinking seriously about other options.Heysunshine and The OSU Thank this. -
It's hard to stay motivated when you plan, organize, and bust your ### to be early so you can keep rolling, just to sit at a terminal for over 36 hours waiting for a load. Finally get a load, wait at shipper until the next morning to pick it up... Just to have it cancel. Wait more hours. Then get a load 70 empty 169 loaded.
In the beginning I wouldhave recommended this company to anyone. My fm asked how my hometime was. Wished my son a happy birthday. Went to bat for me getting me miles. And now I don't even get a response after I type a paragraph asking why I'm still sitting in a 'high freight area'.
I got routed back to marshfield. I'm half thinking they're going to tell me to clean out my truck because I was unpleasant to speak with in Appleton apparently. I'm sorry. I've been sitting for hours with no idea what's going on. Sorry if I'm miffed. Get me miles and keep me moving and I wouldn't be sitting at terminals watching the walking tax break students walk around when they can't even find me a load! Why so many new people???
Sorry for vent. I'm just beyond frustrated. And $600 a week isn't good enough to be away from my family.Dark Squall, The OSU, Ultra7 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I understand this frustration as I got to cons at 7am and get a load out of the same place for 15 hrs later at 10pm. If I hadn't just had my 10 hr break it would be fine, but I just got up 3 hrs ago! So now try to sleep again, during the day and drive Fri/Sat nights back to Ohio for Sun AM? Told my FM that I'll spend the time she has me sit during the day looking for another job!

I told my fm the exact same thing. Any time I spend sitting for an extended period of time, I spend that time looking for a new job. Nothing changed. And everyone was surprised when I put my notice in.
You have every right to be unpleasant sitting that long waiting for a load. It's your lively hood they're very severely affecting. They a taking money out of your pocket by doing that. They don't care though. They make a set amount of money whether you are moving or not and they get to go home to their family every night and weekend.
I don't think they'll send you home for being unpleasant. I didn't even get a talking to when I told a night dispatch member that there was no need to act like a ##### #### to me. (Although the next morning I turned my notice in)Dark Squall and Heysunshine Thank this. -
Headed south to baton rouge for sat am. Then ms to Richmond in for weekend. Lol everyone's bayleing.....lmao

Camped out at Marshfield tonight and half the day tomorrow. Picked up a load of scrap paper in Sioux City, IA for GP in Green Bay supposed to be an 11am delivery. My next assignment is in De Pere with a 6PM pick up. So, I came to the mothership to discuss this with my FM. Bottom line is stay here till you can make the drop in Green Bay and go right over to Pick up your next load. That preserves my 14 hour clock and allows me to make the delivery on Sat evening bringing my total miles for the week to 2900. It's a far cry from the 3500 - 4000 I was told I could get, but its much better than I was getting going home every weekend.
I'm gonna give it six more weeks and in the meanwhile I am shopping for a truck. If the situation doesn't improve to number much closer to what I was told I will be buying a truck and going with a company that offers an Independent Contractor Load Board. I will choose my own loads, pay my own bills and choose my own time off.Heysunshine Thanks this. -

3500 miles is possible with a couple really long runs such as east to west coast and back, but not very likely. And I do not think it is even possible to drive 4000 miles in a 63mph truck in a 70hr time window.
Around 2500 miles per week would be a better estimate. Whoever told you 3500-4000 per week was really exaggerating.goblue Thanks this.
