Parked at the Wes-T-Go in Tye, TX. Ate at the Huddle House. Looks like all 4 Tye PD officers are having dinner. Time for a crime spree!

Parked at Ceva in Carson, CA then picking up our load in the morning. Taking it to Elk Grove, IL .....only a few miles from home. Wonder if we'll have time to swing by the house.

Yep. I tried to park there once in 1999. I haven't been back.

Pardon my ignorance... I am a "homeless" truck driver... and I am curious... why folks swing by their houses for? Check on their house? And what can one do at home for a few hrs? Shower? Laundry? Take a nap in their bed? Cook something to take on the road?
I used to rent a place when I started trucking. But I got so tired of "going home", rushing everything to go back on the road... not to say that I had to park truck, get my vehicle, drive home, take some stuff home with me and then take stuff back to truck... :biggrin_2552: that I got rid of the place...
I guess you guys have your own truck... if so, do you guys take tractor and trailer home?

BTW, another curiosity that I never bothered to ask... and I read that someone in this thread parked at a truck stop instead of at the customer because they wanted to take a shower in the morning... Well... I know many folks take a shower in the morning... and I wonder... do they not take a shower in the evening? So... they go to bed dirty and stick and smelly? :biggrin_2552:

I sweat a lot at night so morning showers refresh me more
but after allthe years on the boats you learn to pass out anywhere and get rest
    with/without cleanliness

Park at Southland Casino in West Memphis. The dogs were racing so I threw a couple bets down. That was a waste but hey when is the next time I get a chance to bet on dog racing?? Lost a couple bucks on the poker tables and calling it a night. Finish up the trip to Dallas tomorrow
