Here at the Loves in Lordsburg, NM. I had a really smooth run last night. Made it around El Paso with no problema and the notorious New Mexico DOT was fine. I have a short run tomorrow to Phoenix, except I'll have to sit an hour because I had a brain fart and forgot the whole Arizona time zone thing when I made my unload appointment.

I am a morning shower person. If all I did was drive I am not too dirty. If I had to unload a trailer and drag hoses around then I might shower in the evening. That would be a 2 shower day.

There is almost never a wait before 5 am even at Loves. They are a fuel stop for us so I keep unlimited showers there.

    Rocks Thanks this.

I have a wife, son and a couple of dogs to visit. I will always choose my lazy boy over a truck seat even if it is just for a few hours.

    #### lot lizard thought I ordered a 0500 wake up call. Wasn't a polite little knock either. It was constant banging on my door. So much so I though it was a cop as I had that fuzzy "where the hell am I moment" thinking I was parked illegally somewhere.

Yes... understandably so for those who have a family... I once teamed with a Mexican guy for a little over one week... We ran only in California... And he would take each and every opportunity he could to stop nearby his place and have his wife and kids come see him and bring him some home made cooking... Then, he would cry, missing his kids.... And his kids would cry too seeing him leaving... :biggrin_2553: OTR life is not for one with family and small kids IMO... :biggrin_25513:

I made my little home in this truck and every truck that I have driven so far... And I tell you, my bed here is as comfortable, or more comfortable than any bed in a hotel... It's neat, it's clean and spacious. I love it!! Only inconvenience is that I don't have a shower and a toilet right next to it... :biggrin_25523: But I learned how to deal with that.:biggrin_25519:

    Big Don Thanks this.

Girl friend? Why do you ask? May I ask... :biggrin_25519:

Anyway... I am a lady driver... Originally from Brasil but naturalized American Citizen in 2000. No boy friend (and don't want any), no family in the USA...

BTW, do you guys have your own truck and trailer? Just curious...

I'm guessing he saw the girls stuff you had hanging up.

I went to a Brazilian restaurant once. In Durango, MX. Good food.

Day later and we could have eaten at one of our local joints.
