And what do you guys do with the truck when you swing by your place for a little while? Do you park at your place? Do you park at a truck stop and someone come pick you up?
My co. is based in OK and I take my "hometime" at a hotel in TN... I pay a parking rent where I can safely park truck when I go to hotel there...

LOL :biggrin_2559: I hear this all the time... And I think... poor folks... have no clue how dangerous and unsafe that place is... I just want to see when Olympics happen in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.... :biggrin_2554: I wonder if the government will put tanks on the streets like they did for the ECO summit in 1992 to "protect" the tourists... :biggrin_25523:

Not even a family place... parents or siblings or mother of your kids place where you can stay if you need?

My wife and I are getting divorced so I live in motels when I'm home. I still use her address as my mailing address.

Been this way for a year now.

Well... I have been parked here since yesterday... my co. warehouse in TN... taking my 34... Cooked my meal, had my lunch... and now will go to nearest Walmart for my groceries and some walking... then, will swing my that awful Pilot for shower and then back here for a quiet night sleep... It's a beautiful sunny and hot day here in TN... :yes2557:

Me either. I use the ex's address for my business. When I go "home" I rent a car and get a nice hotel for me and my girls...this will be the norm for another year until I either rent or buy a house (haven't decided yet...only going to stay in Texas until the youngest graduates then move back home to Jersey...but that's 9 years away)

My kids go visit my parents every year for the month of July in Jersey and next week I will be taking my first "vacation" in 4 years as I will be taking 8 days off and soaking up rays on the Jersey shore.

Parking isn't an issue for me. In Houston we have a yard and in Jersey I park at my uncle's lot. He used to own a trucking company and still owns the land where they parked the trucks.

It might be cheaper if you live in your truck and put your stuff in a storage.
That's what I do. I pay $ 116.00 a month for a 20 x 30 unit and the hotel is an extended stay hotel right across from the storage.... :yes2557: Great location!!
The room has 2 beds, table with chairs, dresser with big drawers, cable TV, kitchen sink, counter, full size refri, stove, microwave, coffee maker (I don't drink coffee), cabinets, nice bathroom with bath tub... And it costs $ 212.00 per week. That is not much more than if I were renting a small apt. + utilities... And I don't have to clean it or fix anything...
