Well I have only been driving for a few months, but I am not making any money 3-500 a week. I work for Wiley Sanders, I am on the verge of losing everything I have worked for. Anyone got any advice on what I can do? Is it be cause I am new? I run as hard as they will let me. I stay out three to four weeks at the time. Just need some advice from some of you experienced drivers. Thanks

The question you need to ask yourself is, "How much do i need to bring home to pay my bills".
At whatever you make per mile, how many miles per week do i need to run, to pay my bills?
If the maximum miles you can run still won't pay your bills, you need to find a better paying job.
Being as you are just starting out, you won't start out at a high paying rate.
Your debt may be more than you can cover as a new driver. Sad but true. Only you can decide if this job can, with time, put you in a positive cash flow situation.Johnson66 and TexTrucker Thank this. -
I'd be curious to know how many miles on average you drive a week. Are you tied in where you are?

16 hrs ago in another post he said he was making decent money, 2700-3300 miles at .32.
Thats 864-1032 gross. Something isn't adding up. Wonder what the real story is?Ebola Guy Thanks this. -

I had a good week last week ran 2800 miles thought it was picking up but than another 400 dollar week, I got nothing bad to say about the company they have treated me pretty decent just need to be consistently running that 2700-3200. Not one a month. And I asked fur help not criticism from super truckers, Wiley does pay decent I said what I said in that post because everybody is quick to bash Wiley because if the old equipment. Every body situation is different maybe 400 our 500 is enough for a single person but I have two Youngins and a wife in school full time.

The only constant thing in trucking is the inconsistency.

a wife in school and 2 little kids be too much for me
and I get $.42/mile and 14000 miles a monthBobcatVolvo Thanks this. -
How are you making 400-500 a week with 2,700 miles? 2700 X .32 = $864.00 - .25% taxes = $216.00 Gross $864.00 - $216.00 taxes = $648.00
Someone already asked, you replied and said you didn't want a super trucker bashing you, but never answered the question. Now I'm asking again. What in the Sam Hill is going on? It's fuzzy math. -
Trucking is not consistant,OTR division anyway.I would say they get the shaft the most.Have you asked your company about putting you on a dedicated route or account? At least then you'll know what your checks will be every week.
