i was offered a 87 classic as a trade for one of my trailers last six of the vin are 209137 checked it with pete dealer and it comes up as a 359 classic but what gets me leery is that is shows up as plate number 17090 and line sequence 306 and the plate on the glovebox shows 303/359. Could anyone with knowledge of these truck help me out thank you

the dash should be the corvette dash yet at least it was in my 87 359 if its a stand up bunk id grab last year for 359 first year stand up bunk can't go wrong. I had my 87 in late 90s and kick myself in the butt for selling it. old iron never dies just gets worth more.

If it's extended hood grab it.

I own two an 85 standard hood, and an 86 extended hood. Both have CAT power both are as nice as any truck on the road, I guess they could be bought but it would be crazy high. Depending on how I feel decides which one works that week, most of the time its the standard hood. The thing about the 359 is they aren't making anymore of them. Then again a 30 year old truck isn't for everyone
