Or this one.
"I helped a J B Hunt driver back into a space tonight. I could tell he was having trouble so after 10 minutes of got out to help him. He offered to buy me dinner and I declined. Didn't seem right to accept it after helping him park his bobtail."91B20H8, lots of character, KANSAS TRANSIT and 1 other person Thank this. -

What does the J B stand for when a JB is parking? Jump Back (back from the days when JB was a training company).
Why were JB's doors yellow? So they knew which end to back under.
Why are JB's chassis orange? So they'll know when they did a roll over.
Why do JBs go so slow? Cuz corporate realized they'd save a ton of money if they painted only one side of the trailer.
Thank you all, I'll be here all week. Be sure to try the veal.lots of character and 201 Thank this. -
Oh, Oh, here we go. I remember years ago, we picked on Roadway, Pumpkin, CF, man we had fun, and most of the guy's didn't care. Matter of fact, I talked to a Roadway driver once, he said, J.B.Hunt was the best thing to happen for him, as they left him alone.
Ebola Guy Thanks this. -
You know , we laugh, but I've run in to all kinds over the years. Once, at one job, I'd leave Wis. drive to Porter, Ind. and drop and hook with a guy that was coming from Toledo, Oh.(great run) and usually, the guy from Toledo was waiting for me, with his trailer already dropped. So I gets there once, a new guy is sitting in his truck, still hooked to his wagon, so I went over by him and said "what's wrong"? He said his 5th wheel was broke, and the handle wouldn't stay out. At 1st I thought he was kidding(it was a new truck), so I calmly said, this is one of those new 5th wheels, where you pull and turn the handle. Problem solved

I remember helping a new guy slide his tandems. He pulled the pin but forgot he needed to set his brakes in order to slide them."semi" retired Thanks this. -
And we can't forget the person who smokes their clutch and bends the ICC bar still hooked to the dock.

Paid parking... It's the future! Just tuck n roll!!

There is a lot to consider when setting up a pay to park TS. Just off the top of my head .It usually starts with trash pickup. It costs money to pickup behind lazy in considerate people that think the parking lot is their personal dumping ground.
Another reason TS's consider it is due to the drivers that think it is all right to park their equipment for days or even weeks at a time on their lot .That takes up a spot for some one that needs it for rest.
I have been told that it is in addition the high tax rate and fees, and permits that have to be paid to excessively greedy city fathers in some counties and townships.
In addition it can be based on the inconsiderate lazy stupid drivers that lack basic skills like being able to say thank you or hold a conversation without the F bomb every third word. Or thinks it is OK to dump their bodily fluids on the ground that an employee has to pick up behind. .Last edited: Jul 20, 2014

From what I'm hearing with the Elog mandate and the upcoming " truck shortage" the parking issues are going to become a major issue, so paid parking is a certainty . Also hear that they are planning surveillance cameras as to pinpoint which Trucks are the violators. I gotta be honest I'd pay to park if it meant a clean, safe place to rest for me AND MY TRUCK !!
Baton Rouge being one spot!
