Bought a refrigerator from Wal-Mart I've had it a few months now. But the compressor rattles on our wonderful roadways. Does anyone else have this problem. If so how cab I stop this problem. The rattling is driving me nuts. Thought about taken it off the rubbers bushings and setting in directly on the floor

Put it in the passenger seat & wrap seat belt across.

(Also qualifys you to put your hazmat paper in that seat with the strap holding it.)

Make sure you have the extended warranty so when the compressor goes out, you can pull into Walmart, get a new one, and keep on trucking!

Don't take it off the bushings they are there for a reason unless you want it leaking freon into your truck

These are not made for trucks, the vibration coupled the use of a cheap inverter with the low voltage burnout aka brownout will destroy the compressor fast.

They only need a little over 100 watts to run and that's just at startup once its running it doesn't even register on my inverter I had one lasted 18 months for 150 bucks and lasting that long in a freight shaker it was worth the money so I bought another

Hell yea considering the dealership fridges are almost $800 bucks and don't have half the room inside.

I'd just as soon buy a Coleman cooler with a peltier unit on it, and instal a more powerful fan ontop.
Works just as well assuming you're not opening the door every two hours, and not trying to freeze a turkey in it. Hell, mine would freeze everything in it, when I put a new and better fan on it.

The beauty of a solid state cooling unit, is that it will run forever if it's cared for, properly. The downside is, it's still in a truck. And that destroys everything eventually, moving parts faster than anything else. Buying a fridge with a compressor (IE: 4 sets of bearings just on the motor and compressor) that isn't made specifically for a truck, is like asking for a bottle rocket you can shoot to the moon. You won't find it, and it won't work out.
