Lease farm plate truck to neighbor??

    They might also have permits you can buy monthly to haul commercial with a farm tag. That's how Ok does it but if I was the driver and all taxes were paid with ins I wouldn't worry about it. Unless you are driving reckless, no working lights, or broke down you won't see a farm truck pulled over down here. Do it and work a deal with your neighbor to pay half the fines if you do get ticket but I doubt you will have any issues

    Every state is different and I can only tell you what we have in Texas. Maybe North Dakota has something similar. Some of the guys that run only during harvest run a seasonal plate which is like $400 (I have been told) but only good for a short period of time. Farmers run farm plates and can only run 150 mile radius. Then there is the combination plate which is good for all year but you cant cross state lines. And last, the apportioned plate for running interstate. Hope this helps. Luck.
