Ok, so my drives run 150, untreated.

My trailer, treated, had 4 readings; 141, 143, 144, 146. The hottest and coldest #s were the front axle.

Which is still WAY above the, 10-25 above ambient, #s quoted on MBs website.

Anyway, when I was explaining to my installer the whole " torquing to spec, then backing off one dot" the lightbulb went on over his head. He said that was standard bearing procedure. However, upon repeating it back to me, he used the phrase "flat spot" instead of dot...referring to the side of the hex head nut.
What we both missed, is that the 6 sided nut only has 4 dots!

I had to go back to the website and zoom in on the pic of the nut before I caught it.

I Microblued my 13 speed tranny in 2011 and have never seen the temperature over 200 degrees even pulling OS loads grossing over 90,000 lbs on mountain grades compared to before with a heavy legal loads it was common to see the tranny temp hit 230+ degrees pulling steep grades.

    2 Dice.
My only real apprehension has been the lasting effect.
I have been following this thread from the start and have no doubt about the effectiveness.
In your experience , have the benefits tapered off over time?
Basically is the treatment holding up or do you see a re treatment being necessary now or some time soon?

300,000+ miles on my tractor MB wheel bearings since June 2011 and again my fuel mileage numbers are better than ever.

So you're convinced of their effectiveness, which means they DO work and save you money over stock. Dice1 has close to 3 years of heavy haul on his and still sings praise.

But you're still apprehensive about their lasting effect. Am I understanding that correctly?
I guess I don't understand that apprehension. I mean, minimally, its no worse than factory and wouldn't last a shorter time than OEM. So you have nothing to lose.
And if MB's #s are accurate? Then the ROI is under 1 year.
In Dice1's case, that means they've paid for themselves AT LEAST three times over! Prolly paid for his next rebuild even.

What's to be apprehensive about? I just don't get it!

As much as I'd like to be impressed by that video, it lost all credibility with all the unnecessary zooming in, which took the wheel containing the full ceramic bearings out of the picture for absolutely no justifiable reason. There's no way to know the wheel wasn't being repowered while we were staring at the spokes of the wheel with the regular bearings.

That's not even to mention the possibility that the three wheels could have been spun with differing levels of exertion, which is an argument I don't even need to make since there is no integrity in providing full, uninterrupted display of all three wheel types throughout the supposed illustration.

350 mile run, easy on the brake coming of. Front steer, 107 and 109, ambient 76. So yes running a little hot, will adjust torque at next pm and see if is lowers operating temps.

    TheLittleGuy Thanks this.

What's your fuel economy doing? Any changes?

Those #s don't look too bad.

I will wait for your own video test of bicycle wheel bearings to justify your current unqualified opinion.
