Is it required to have a passenger seat in a solo operated company truck? I was wondering because my fridge is to tall. It also is to wide to fit in the back sleeper (T660). So did you ever have your seat removed?

No it's not required. My truck doesn't have a passenger seat.

Most companies probably wouldn't mind removing your seat if they had someplace to put it.
But, you know, if you do it for 1 driver 10 drivers will want theirs stored, too.
Then, 1 is in a crash and sues the company because their fridge beat them half to death... and then OSHA appears...
Or, someone appropriates 1 or more seats from storage...
I'd make other arrangements. -
Why not just look for a more compatible size refrigerator? Plenty of portable refrigerators that vary in size depending on your needs and your budget.
-
Just make sure you secure your fridge properly and that it doesnt block your view out the side window at all.

When you remove your seat you're going to have threaded holes in the floor. I had my brother in law weld eyes to 4 bolts. I screw them in and break out the bungees when I need to secure something.

I got a similar question. Can you take out the lower bunk and put cabinets in its place so you can prepare a decent dinner? Do all trucks have an upper bunk?
Thanks

Ok. So when I have it on the seat it's blocking all 85% of the window causing me to lean to look out and see my mirrors. I already know DOT will not have that and I'm sure my company won't either.
i already had a Coleman cooler that turned in to a junk if #### after spending the 120 or whatever. I want this real refridgerator in my truck because it will last. I got a deal on this one for 80 bucks from a friend that would possibly be in the 150-180 range so I actually saved money.
also the truck needs an inverter put in by the company that runs 250.
I guess I'll just see what they say but yes most likely I will ratchet strap it some way some how if they take the seat out. -
Not all trucks have the upper bunk. Depending on the truck, you could possibly take out the lower bed, but getting it out of the cab could be trouble. You wouldn't get very big cabinets in there.
I pulled the mattress from my upper bunk and use it for storage. My upper one folds in half so it's like a huge storage area. When I drop the folding section, I just put my grill or fry pan on that. It's a bit high, little under shoulder height, but it works. -
Many Prime trucks have the passenger seats removed and a refrigerator installed.
