I tried that. ..I drove 25 miles dome lid open with both vavles open and they said it was wet at the back
-
Did you take apart the external valve and dry the pipes out with paper towel. That is the only way I can think that they would know about moisture in the back . I carry a 16 ft pole and can swab around the dome lid up and down the tank. If the tank was hot it might have sweated some more after you closed it up

Nah I didn't take it a loose....I did once and caught hell trying to put it back together. ..I finally got loaded im on my way to the house now...ill be there tomorrow
-
Thanks for the info about the external valve ima start takinh it a loose for practice
-
Just loosen that big wing nut looking thing and you can remove that clamp and take the whole valve out. I never take apart the nut on the shaft but there is some packing material in there that can be replaced if you have a leak.88 Alpha and realsupatrucka Thank this.

Are u talking about the black ring valve thing?

Pictures would be great.
realsupatrucka Thanks this. -
Next time I take one apart I will post some. It may be a while.coolcat Thanks this.

Ours are stainless. There is a clamp that holds the round external valve to the trailer. It's the last one that you open to unload. If you take that clamp off that entire valve assembly comes out for cleaning. I believe the clamp is called a QRD clamp.coolcat Thanks this.
