Central Refrigerated Truck Stop III

If I remember correctly, the strip club is within walking distance of the Conley terminal.

 

The Conley terminal is closed and everything is out of swifts Decatur GA terminal now. With NC's CDL laws I'm surprised they hired you without a license. Central would only hire people from NC if they already had their license and only needed orientation and trainer time. NC required more schooling than central would offer so they contracted driving schools in NC. And you're right the Conley terminal was a nice place but in a real crappy part of town.

 

Welp darn I got one of those old trailers and the sliding tandems are stuck because the pins bent. I cant get them to lock either. Otrm is sending someone my way to fix it. Just one of those days lol

 

Conley's closed now? I need to start paying better attention.
What about our Fontana yard? The one with the huge hole you have to drive thru to get off the scale?

 

Gone. We're in Jurupa Valley now. They closed out Central's Fontana terminal, and Swift's Ontario one, and bought one in Jurupa Valley. I can't tell you what it looks like.

The only Central terminal we kept was West Valley, and that's because it was nicer than Swift's SLC terminal.

 

We also kept the new rochelle, il terminal.

 

We kept Pasco too, but those two weren't in operation when LastKidPicked was with Central. Least, I don't think so.

 

You are right, Smadronia. The terminals I used the most often were West Valley City, Conley, Fontana, and Henderson. Three out of those four are now gone.

What I remember most was after I bought my truck from Central, I had a question and called the shop in Conley. The mechanic there walked me through everything and stayed with me for about 20 minutes. Helped me out of a jam and I still have that truck.

4noreason, As far as I know, there are three trucks running around that are still exactly like the one in my avatar. Since the original trucks were black, most of them have had a buff job on the paint and so most of them no longer have the pinstriping.

And if you worked for Central for very long then I'm sure we have met. I ran solo unless I was training. The guy in my Avatar isn't a team partner, he's my grandpa.
