Well I just got done with their CDL school and am out with my trainer right now. I think they do a really good job, I'm pleased with the training. I'm in the curtainside division and loads seem to be pretty steady. Not sure about the flatbed though, I do know when I went to Gary for load securement there were 12 guys there for flatbed. Gingersquatch will probably chime in as he is in flatbed and very up to date on the going ons.

You can look at the flatbed division info thread for my latest insight about the goings on in this division, from myself and others. Personally, I'm very happy to be turning in my truck tomorrow and feel there are better options out the for a starting out bedder.

i did enjoy my time at school and my trainer was good.

Does anyone know if a year on the 7 on 7 off slip seating division would be considered a year of verifiable OTR truck driving experience if one wants to look at local driving options later? I know most advertise that they want at least 1 year. Technically it is a calender year....but mileage and experience wise? Maybe not so much. Or is that requirement for the smaller local jobs mainly for insurance purposes??

Highly doubt it. With 7 on 7 off you're only working half the year. Pretty sure another company will see through that.

Don't mention it was 7/7 operation. You still worked there a year. Just put on the application you worked for Roehl for a year.

just talk of it as 1 year. don't worry about adding the 7/7 unless specifically asked. usually they are really wanting#120000 miles. at least this was my experience.

I cannot find the post you're referring to.

Also what other companies are you suggesting?
