I hear what you're saying which is why I said if they don't succeed with that company I can't sympathize with them because they were well aware of what to ecspect.Now if it were me just starting out I would welcome any and all posts especially from the ones that attended the school and take what they say to heart and look elsewhere.I don't get why ppl wanna hurry up and get their CDL without fully thinken thru their decision.Most have the plan of lasting at least a good solid yr with their first company but unfortunately they fail miserably and really has no one to blame but themselves.The warning signs were there before even getting on the bus to the company sponsored school but falis to see them because they don't wanna accept the school is bad.They're hoping they'll be one of those few students that actually make it.But one student is like the rest.Problem with England is too many students in the class up to a hundred.How can any school train the safe and correct way with that many ppl.They just wanna hurry up and get them either qualified or home.Makes no difference to schools like England..Most the starter companies if not all don't care at all about their students not one little bit.All I can do is try my hardest is give John my support he does not fail.

I'm not negative toward "newbies". I'm a realist. That's number one. Number two, look at it from my point of view. Doesn't it strike you as odd that every story is the same? Patty, you are so correct. Hopefully John succeeds beyond his wildest dreams. I must agree there's ALOT more negative than positive in these forums-unfortunatley. I can also say after reviewing these forums for the last three months before jumping into anything that I have come across approximately five level headed people here to pm, and chat with, one of which has been around for decades driving and is a phenomenol resource for information here, and a great "trucking encyclopedia."pattyj Thanks this.

Only time will tell if he succeeds or fails.I don't like to discourage anyone from joining this industry and try not to say too many bad things about their decision unless I drove for that company.Far as England,I don't know exacly what they're like but all the thousands of posts about them speaks volumes.So I post a thread that stands out and hope they read it is all I can do.

Actually, some discouragement is better for the industry as a whole. Those that don't belong in the industry and especially those that are using it as a last resort due to desperation need to be discouraged because they don't have the aptitude or the heart for this business. They don't want to be here and their attitudes out here, on the road, reflect that and those of us that truly love this industry suffer because of it.
Out of the hundred students lured into the training under false pretenses, how many are sent home for whatever reason and end up in worse shape than had they done research or followed the advice given them? From what I've read, a majority. I've never worked for CRE, nor would I, but I've seen the damage their business plan causes and it hurts those of us that have adopted this as our chosen lifestyle. Remember, we have to share the roads, truck stops and the shippers/receivers with these grossly under-qualified and untrained "drivers" and their "trainers", not to mention the regs being forced upon us by the feds to combat the substandard training practices of these bottom-feeder companies.joseph1135 Thanks this. -
You just hit the nail directly on the head. Patty and Chinatown seem to think that everyone belongs out here. Their heart is in the right place. But the fact is, read through the posts. A lot of them have no business even thinking about it. By the way I'm just waiting for the never drug related question. Was almost sure it was gonna be on this thread.

I shouldn't be shocked. 1 yr experience to be a school instuctor?
Even teachers need a 4 yr degree! Shouldn't a school for trucking have that much experience required at least ?
I wish the OP well. Too bad he didn't have his a Dad train him. A common misconception is that you NEED a CDL school to get a CDL. Not so. Just have to pass the written test. Get the permit, learn the road, go back and take the 3rd party test, and boom. Too bad. -
Absolutely correct, a BIG misconception that you need a CDL school to get a CDL. I've been hearing alot about that.
