If he would have hit something the first thing your safety man would ask is were you spotting him? If no it would have been your #### on the line too. I wouldn't recommend anyone to drive with somebody they feel uncomfortable with but he is right, you're supposed to help each other out and get the job done.

I forgot to add another thing that sucks about team driving. If your co driver is late, then you are too. I always tell him "we need to get going or we're going to be late." He says "nah we got plenty of time, don't worry." Then ends up taking his sweet time. As a result your performance is affected as well.
He doesn't like when I tell him what to do, so no point in trying to convince him to be a more careful driver. I think from now on, I'll just go in the sleeper the whole 10hours and mind my own business. -
I'm out of the truck helping spot even when not being asked. After I feel the truck fighting with the hole a bit I'm up and hopping out of the truck. The benefit to a team is knowing you have someone to help you out of a jam. Maybe its the Marine side of me but teaming isn't that stressful to me. P.S. When I really need to get into places the truck isn't necessarily designed for I do a drive by first to scout it out before pulling in. A lot of times I'll find an even better spot for the truck within walking distance of the FUBAR situation I almost got myself into. I would pass that info on to your partner.

So why didnt co-driver park behind the store and walk to take care of personals? Why did co-driver decide to try and drive thru the area mentioned? Help out but ask why? communicate.. politely mention your concerns.. expect the same from co-driver

Always get out of the truck and help your partner. Dont be a douche.
Joetro Thanks this. -
Is this a team only outfit...?

They have solo drivers. But the pay is very low, somewhere around .30¢ -
About to go dedicated solo here shortly with them.

Blacktop, I have always been curious. How much do they pay a solo driver? Which dedicated run are you about to do?
