Hello everyone. I apologize for falling off the face of the earth. All is going really good for me. I am driving for Panhandle Oil Field Services. I haul pipe to drilling rigs here in PA and sometimes to WV and OH. We also go to various pipe yards in OH and KY and bring pipe back to our yard. I drive a KW 13 speed day cab and love it. We also do paper logs and I love that too. This has been a really good expierence for me. As with any company there are things I don't like for example we slowed down quite a bit in the last 2 weeks and you never know if you are working the next day until the night before. All in all, I like it. I hope all is well with everyone here and I will try to do a better job keeping in touch...

In Milton, Pa. for the night. Delivery in Sunbury tomorrow 0500. Kind of a late start for me but I will deal with it.
Idleair wifi seems much quicker than the other ones I have been using so worth the money to me. I will be watching netflix hopefully without lagging, I think it is called that when it keeps stopping to load.
Be safe out thereHometimeQueen and dennisroc Thank this. -
Hello everybody!
EMCHIEF I am so happy to hear from you. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad everything has worked out so well for you! Please don't forget about us....keep in touch and check in every once in awhile .....I'll give you a map pin!
Road_Kill, you have been on my mind also! I hope all is well with you. I was afraid that you had given up on your dream of being a driver. Good to know that you are still doing your background research and planning on following through.
jaso, enjoy your movies today!
George, I knew you could do it! Lots of rain in that area for the next couple of days, some records being broken for rainfall around Atlanta.
melo, you are getting the hang of the check in process .....I'm gonna put a gold star on your map pin!
Panhandle and passport, you notice that the Cranky One didn't get me mixed up with anyone ......that's cause I am unforgettable!

Pete, were you on your way out to Cali or back?
honeybadger, don't forget to get your truck checked ......I know I am nagging!
I'm still concerned about kf4omc......say a little prayer that all is well.dennisroc, jaso36 and passport220 Thank this. -

You were mark on about the rain in Atlanta, HTQ! George is on the outskirts (bypass) right now. He said he drove through a couple of storms already.
HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
Well HTQ I am at Sapp Bros in Omaha
Wormy Werner is across the street but one blue truck looks like another
so Kmac might be there or notHometimeQueen Thanks this. -
Thanks for the kind words HTQ. No, I didn't give up on my plans or anything. I have AT LEAST two women in my past history that will attest to my hard-headedness once I decide on something. No, this will happen. My time preparing and research has numbered well past most that get into the trucking bidness and frankly it's all been fun to study up on it. I feel as prepared as I can be without doing it.
Just so much I need to do before that time comes. I've had a number of setbacks (and *sigh* they are still coming) in terms of financial and personal and sometimes I wonder if somebody up there is messing with me.
I don't post much because I really have nothing to offer until I'm out there too. I find I can answer 99% of the questions posted about TransAm, but get torn between a quick answer for the poster that asked the question and leaving it to those that have actually lived the answer.
Frustration at peak levels at this time, but I'll not quit. The time it has taken and will take is ridiculous and even a bit embarrassing. You just have to be there to understand, I guess. I've just got too much to fix. Rebuilding a life from scratch is a b!tch....lol.
I don't have a felony or anything to wait out, just mending a life after divorce, loss of work, and home.
This thread keeps my head up more so than others. I think Mr. C. Yankee said it best. [paraphrasing] "Look around the truck stops. If they can do it, you had better believe you certainly can."
Sometime reminders like that can help a fella out.
Sorry for the ramble. I'm off to do my meds (see below).
jungHo, dennisroc, bigred81 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Many years ago a Dr. prescribed beer for me in the hospital. The nurse brought me a semi warm Milwaukee's Best, I told her no thanks! Lol
A PA woman is under arrest for giving truck drivers physicals without actually being a doctor!HometimeQueen Thanks this. -
