Been sitting around since May 22, 2014 after I was diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes went down to Austin to stay with my Aunt for a lil while now I am back home in Orlando, because the company I worked for decided to terminate me because I violated their pet policy which leaves me no money to pay the medical bills I have now racked up and trying to pay my rent and utility bills is off the chain for real. It sucks to be me sometimes. I hope I can ride out this streak of bad luck before my services get disconnected. my cell phone is already toasted and wasted but still I press on toward the mark of the high calling. If anyone knows of any local Orlando company hiring local drivers please feel free to let me know because I need a job now I really don't care what it pays as long as it doesn't require me to break my back and kill myself so someone else can get rich off my sweat. Anyway thanks for listening. Peace from the poet.

Sorry for all the bad luck you're having.I'm not working either but I have a boyfriend paying my bills.Do you have any objections to going OTR at least till you can catch up with your bills and have some money saved?Or regional or dedicated lanes would get you home every week to 2 weeks.

I'm at the point where I am done with over the road but if you do have a dedicated account that will get me home and pay me regardless of being on time or not I'm all for it. But let's face it some of these delivery and pick up times set by brokers and companies are unrealistic and I don't rush for anything or anybody.

I'd really like something that pays me more than my last PoorAssManagement company did.

With respect that's not the right attitude to have. They do give you enough time as long as you don't take advantage of it by spending most your time at truckstops or gabbing.Local companies aren't any different then otr companies. You get a load they ecspect it to be delivered and ontime.

In other words, you'll get there when you darn well feel like it, right? I think you need to look for another kind of job. Civil service maybe. Definitely not trucking.

You can drive a truck with type 2 diabetes as long as it is under control. The job of a company driver is to deliver undamaged freight on time. If you can't do that then you need to make a career change. If you can't follow the rules then you need to start your own company and then you can do whatever you want. I'm not sure how old you are but you sound like you need to work another 40 years before you can retire. It doesn't matter what type of work you do because you have a bad attitude. Unless you change you will not be able to keep any job for long.
