Stevep if you will run the northeast 5 weeks straight, you will make a freaking killing.

 

There is this strange notion that drivers don't want to run the northeast because:
a) waaaaahhhhh!!!! It's too hard to drive there!
b) sniffle...... I can't find parking!
c) New Jersey smells like a garbage dump, my sinuses can't take it!

In reality though, show me the money biatches!

 

I go up there myself...My downfall is that I take something cheap back to the midwest or southeast, because I don't like running around up there..I'll go in, but get me da hell out LOL

 

Uhhhh... That's a big negative.... Having driven as a company driver and now as an IC I can tell you it's much better on this side of the fence. Can't make over $1000 working for three days on the company side, can you?

I don't see anything wrong with his skepticism. Definitely not a bad thing to question or have problems. Personally, since moosc runs so hard all of the time with little time off he'd probably be a good fit. But there is risk involved and it's not for everyone. I'll find out the hard way one way or the other.

As you say, there is risk involved. However, as long as you remember that there are SLOW times (After Xmas untill around March) and you pay your taxes quarterly, and your Truck payment has to be paid, you should do alright. If I was to go back driving, it would be as an IC.

 

Those Poland springs accounts pull 40k+lbs stay away from those runs. Loads like that will eat up your fuel mileage
