    Loving being home.

Never realized until today how crazy the docks in the city of Chicago are. Drove through our old neighborhood in the#West Loop and saw all these trucks making deliveries. Man lots of really difficult docks in tight spaces with a lot of low bridges. In the middle of this chaos who do I see ? The bad boys of trucking....CR England.

The most underrated part of home time is being able to Pee whenever and wherever you want without having to wait for a rest area or truck stop.

I scaled the load from that repower. It originated in Laredo. Now I see why it was dumped in San Antonio. This is with the tandems all the way forward.

Funny thing is the driver who brought it to me showed me a scale ticket that showed legal weights. Somebody is lying.

Upon further investigation looks like the load is moving.

You should be OK if it doesn't get much more than that. Hopefully. . .

David at pro trans in Memphis is owed some good tequila. He reworked my load and hooked me up with load bars to prevent any more movement.

Bad loading job... load wasn't properly secured.... :biggrin_25512:

I once re powered someone... The BOL showed load weight was 40,000 but it was all on one pallet... hmmmm.... :biggrin_25511: Very suspicious... so, I got it scaled and it was 10,000... However, on my way to receiver, in the middle of a rush hr traffic jam in Dallas, TX, I heard a BAM in the back of the trailer and a strong pull... :biggrin_2554: I slowed down but kept driving... no place to park... That's when I saw what it looked like a piece of metal coming out of the trailer wall... DARN!!! :biggrin_2554: The freaking load got loose and it was rolling inside of the trailer, banging on the walls.... even with me going at 5 mph.... :biggrin_2554:
After getting lost in residential area, trying to find a safe place to park, I parked on an entering ramp to hwy and was waiting till midnite to go to some better place when police arrived... Then, tried to move truck at 3 mph but the darn thing rolled back and busted trailer doors open...

Good thing I told police to stay far away from truck... It was a big 10,000 lbs machine on wheels, loose inside the trailer... :biggrin_2552: I called it "Devil on Wheels"... It wasn't properly secured at all... :biggrin_25512:The wheels were not properly shocked and there were only 2 weak straps that broke off...
Good thing there was a towing and wreck yard less than one mile away... I was escorted there by police and wrecking truck and it took us, one guy and I almost one full day to put the darn thing back inside front of the trailer, shock the wheels with wood and screws, and strap that with 12 straps that I carry... And we had no power tools to do all that... :biggrin_2552: Then, had to close and secure trailer doors with ropes and bungee cords and chain... to go back to terminal, have it moved from busted trailer to another, secure it properly and deliver it... :biggrin_2552: YEP...
From then on, whenever I get to repower someone, I make sure the load is properly secure... :yes2557:
